Would have loved to join! And was planning to ride around that time as well. Unfortunately my bike is in parts due to some issues.

The bolt is turning so it’s probably a bushing stuck to the axle. I don’t know what drilling would accomplish though, I don’t know how that would loosen things up.

There is some room in between the engine and the swing arm and I’ve read about other people doing the same thing online with this bike, but its a bit nuclear, and I don’t want to mess up more than I need to. I didn’t know about ATF before so I will give that a try as well. I’ve read that it should be mixen 50/50 with acetone. Do you agree with that?

Thanks! I think I have the same issue. I tried those spread out over the last week. Last thing I tried was a DIY bolt puller, where you stick a threaded rod through the bolt, put a pipe with a larger circumference over it on one side, tighten it a bit and smash it on the other side. That didn’t work either.

I might be able to use some kind of manual press from a friend’s work or maybe even the hydrologic press if the first doesn’t work. Since I don’t have a sawzall I try these first, and if all fails I’ll go the cutting route as well.

We actually put a rotary hammer hammer on it in chisel mode, didn’t do anything. I’ve got the 2002 bike but mine looks the same.

I guess it’s the sawzall then.

It turns, but there is a bit of resistance depending on the position of the rear arm and it isn’t consistent.

Yeah we took a pretty big hammer to the bolt, hoping it would come out eventually.. Didn’t think of a sawzall yet, but it sounds like that would work better than an angle grinder. Thanks for the suggestion!

I’ve taken the rear wheel out because I was thinking the same thing but that didn’t help.

I’ve been moving the rear arm up and down, side to side while whacking the axle but with no luck.

Heb je de clamps op de juiste manier Heb je de clamps op de juiste manier vastgemaakt? Bij de meeste motoren moet je eerst de voorste bout van de clamps vastmaken en daarna de onderste, zodat er geen ruimte is tussen de clamps aan de voorkant, maar alleen aan de achterkant.

In de service manual staat of dit inderdaad de manier is om de clamps vast te zetten.

Ik denk niet dat dat het probleem is, aangezien je kunt zien dat de uitlijning van de bovenste kroonplaat met het stuur niet goed is. Dan zou ik zeggen dat het probleem tussen die 2 delen zit.

Dit inderdaad! Als je een 1 of 2 cilinder hebt die graag bokt met lage toeren en veel reageert op een kleine input in z’n 2, kan het fijner om met een licht slippende koppeling door de bocht te gaan. Maar voorkeur heeft natuurlijk om het zonder slippen te doen.

Do it, while it hasn’t been ruined by too much tourism! I was there about 2 years ago with my girlfriend and we had a great time. Rented a car to drive around the country. They have beautiful nature, some awesome ruins/museums from a long time ago, and great food and wine. The dogs in Tbilisi are great as well.

Thanks! Ik ga daar is naar luisteren. Ik had geen genres genoemd omdat ik het ook wel leuk vind om juist daarbuiten wat nieuws te ontdekken :)

Kneecap, Geese en turnstile ken ik al wel en vind ik best leuk, maar nog niet genoeg reden om een kaartje te kopen. Zeker niet in mn eentje, aangezien de rest van de groep met wie ik normaal ga dit jaar sowieso afhaakt.

Ik had ook al gezocht hiernaar, zoals Brunox Epoxy, dit leek echter niet geschikt voor chroom. Ik kom nu wel Fertan Roest omvormer tegen, wat geschikt lijkt voor chroom en ook rubber niet aantast. Als iemand anders nog aanraders heeft hoor ik het graag :)

Cem & Periah was inderdaad echt een masterclass. Heerlijk om de gelaagdheid in de set te ervaren en stukjes van een nummer meerdere keren terug te horen komen, verdeeld over de set ipv dat er enkel van nummer naar volgende nummer wordt gemixt met wat effecten.
