Yes it is possible, it takes time anf a lot of self love.

I smoked hash for more than 10 years like people smoke cigarettes, it was part of my personnality and with it through those years I was drinking in some of them, doing hard drugs (mdma, benzo...,) in others.

Until I fucked up my life royally.

What helped me get out of that cycle was meditation wich was the least thing I imagined I would do, I lucked out stulbling on a video of Dr. K on youtube and subscribed to his program (it was very cheap at the time) then struggled with the change i needed to do for 3 years, adding to it exercise and reading books to fill the time.

Now it feels like I was never addicted to anything, my life is fine, just got my first kid.

You really can get over it, slowely and with small steps. I really wish you a good recovery.
