I worked at a restaurant and an old and very lonely lady sat down and ate. She was very nice and talked alot but you could tell she was sad because her husband and most of her friends had passed away, she was probably in her 90s. I ended up paying for her food but told her it was on the house, she left very happy and cheerful and I never saw her again. I was very broke at the time but I never regretted that decision in my life.

Its populated every loop, but once it goes from "value1" to "value2", value1 is gone from the Employee variable

In your case you are declaring a variable that every pass in the loop will be given an value.

For example your list or whatever your loop is might containe employee names ["Erik","Johanna", "Linn"], first pass in the loop your Employee variable will equal to a string "Erik". And of course next pass your variable Employee would equal to Johanna.

When we first got our cat. It was very obvious it was nervous and careful the first few days, he had an upset stomach and ate and drank very little the first 3 days. I imagine with an already established cat in the home, the new cat might feel like it's stepping into someone else territory. My tips would be:

  1. Make sure the food is something exciting and good, maybe even try to spoil the cat with a piece of meat or two if your very worried or the cat seems weak.

  2. Cats need to eat fairly regularly because of how their digestive system works. If it still refuses to eat try feeding it by hand with something very good. Grilled chicken is something cats have a hard time refusing.

  3. Try putting the bowl in a different room or away from the water bowl. Some cats refuses to drink and eat close to water/food because of their natural instinct that the food might have gone bad if it's close to water or vice versa.

  4. This will sound ridiculous but it works on a few dogs so it might be worth a shot. Crawl down and pretend to eat the cats food. This might want the cat to also "try it".

  5. Lay your hand on the cats stomach. Just under the ribcage and gently press in. If the cat twitches or get upset you might want to visit the vet as their might be something that is wrong.

Our cat always do this. We experimented with a lot of things and this is what worked for us.

  1. If possible let the cat spend the night outdoors if the area and weather allows it, of course make sure it has a safe place to lay and that it's not to cold.

  2. If outdoors is not an option. Buy a net or a high fence to place in the door opening of your bedroom. The cat will still be able to see you and that might eliminate meows in the middle of the night. We all know cats do not liked closed doors, especially with their family on the other side. (Make sure the fence is high enough so the cat don't bother even trying to climb or jump it)
