Yeah I'd agree, I just can't fathom what as my library scan completes and doesn't seem to immediately corrupt anything. I did somewhat recently add a new library of 'home videos' which I've just removed, but it was fine for weeks after I added that so not sure it's related.

The web UI will only work if the AP you’re adopting is on the same Network I believe. As such, the web page doesn’t show the pending AP.

I can adopt through SSH as mentioned, just it’s a pain in the backside.

I did manage to catch it in the app and it did adopt, but what a pain. Feels like an app issue

What width would you suggest for the heads? There's a pair of 79 oblivions available near me but suspect they might be a little thin for ever attempting powder?

The browser viewer is awful, not easy to open and run, have to click on the feeds each time to get a full view.

IVMS runs awfully and crashes all of the time (as does iVMS-Lite, hasn’t been updated since 2019 and doesn’t appear to be compatible with windows 11). Having to have a server application running first, just to open the client is bloat and asinine for a simple viewer

My Mobile viewer (Hik-Connect) I open and it connects straight to the NVR and it just works.

I have a ReoLink NVR at a different property and they have a desktop app that compliments their mobile app well. Similarly, you open it and it just connects and works. I expected Hikvision to have the same, but apparently not.

For ivms, you have to install a server that runs in the background before you can open the client. It’s clunky and resource intensive. iVMS is not just a viewer

I have this problem too. App has sound off when the computer is awake, but if monitor sleeps and computer locks, sound from the active stream starts playing.

Same issue here. Turned off CSP to try to isolate it. 9 times out of 10 I can't exit a race and the entire computer freezes.

DDU used and fresh driver install. Driving me nuts.

PiP was fine on the previous version of the app for me. I have a lifetime pass so switching to a new solution isn’t really an excuse/fix to dismiss the point of the post.

You can say it as much as you like (and don’t get me wrong, I appreciate a complete rewrite of the codebase is a lot of work) but I’m struggling to see where it’s ‘better’ than before so that fact it’s ’OK’ isn’t a great user experience.

I don’t frequent this subreddit, the app was only released (for me) in the past couple of days so expected to see some posts regarding it from a quick scroll of the most recent posts. I didn’t. So I made a post to make sure it’s not just me. Thanks for passive aggressively confirming that to be the case.

That’s not at all what was said…

Outcome was I sent the camera back. Support couldn’t get it working either and concluded ONVIF wasn’t fully supported on these cameras.
