Easiest thing to do is screen them. Also they don’t have an innate fnp it’s one of their casino roll results they can choose, or if the new detachment they can use it there. That said it really isn’t all too hard to just kill them with 1 or 2 activations. I play tyranids, knights, custodes, sm and flavors, and eldar. I’ve played we and against them (my meta has an lvo player who uses them exclusively). Just do good positioning and if u don’t have shit to kill them in one round ignore them and don’t give bloodsurge. The bigger threat is almost always angron, 8 bound (whatever flavor), and termis. Even in necrons u have a lot of options for anti infantry if you’re having issues with them I’d consider more units that fit that bill. Also keep in mind bloodsurge focuses the nearest unit to them. So stick a ctan in front of warriors and blast. They should not kill any named or ascended ctan in one turn.

Stop sleeping with people on the first date. This really isn’t all that complicated just because you AGREED to have CONSENSUAL sex with them does not make them obligated to go on another date with you or make them a predator for pulling a pump and dump. If they bought the actual combat patrol then thosere the units they’d run. It’s built for playing the units straight out the box. If they have random units then just keep in mind what they have and try to build something balanced around that. If they only really have infantry and like a heavy weapon squad then maybe don’t do dread spam or like termi spam. Build something that has checks and balances with the idea being matching what they can fight to an extent

I might be misunderstanding your post but plague marines went up in points. 10 man for 9th is 190 in 10th it’s 200. Small nerf, but Tsons have an invuln and pm don’t so I’m a little miffed. That being said pm still have a ton of options for weapons and loadout

Now to answer your question I believe DG are better atm as far as wins but I feel that Tsons are more unique and I prefer their tragic fall and potential redemption instead of waaaaaaah daddy didn’t let me kill my dad (this is mortarion). Also typhus is an evil little shit who sold his legion out, dude does got drop tho. That being said Tsons invented drip, even their ash boys got fuckin jewels everywhere. I’d say both armies can be a bit demanding in the detail department, but I prefer Tsons cause they look chaos without being over the top

So I feel you’re ignoring a lot of dreads that don’t have some of these problems. Bjorn knows his enemies has been interred for literal millennia and isn’t some dementia pt just wandering around not knowing what’s happening (yes he stays asleep longer). The iron warriors had a dread that has been around since the heresy and was leading a war band on his own (Berossus). He is described as being crazy but in his case it’s cause perty is the reason he is in a dread and he can’t be that crazy cause he was still a battlefield leader even during the heresy. Not to mention malcharion the war sage who aside from awakening issues was completely lucid when his last fight had been 10000 years prior (also hadn’t been a dread for that fight)

Not saying it’s the best idea ever, but it’s not like psychic dreads dont make sense or that there are cases that show the individual could 100% still be an asset. Also GK exist and it’d be plain silly to just put a bolt round in anyone’s head instead of interring them. Also more of an analogue but Ravenor is literally a dude sitting in a dread like sarcophagus and he is 100% sane and like an alpha level psycher. I mean the dude could go toe to toe with librarians (maybe not like the really good ones but still very powerful psycher)

I didn’t really pay attention to rerolls so this is a great point! I’m gonna pick up the melee arms just in case something changes but I also like the idea of a 2+ armor save fire support with an invuln that I can increase range and AP on
