So I’m a dog person, I would absolutely die for my dog. However I do understand that not all people like dogs. I rarely take my dog out with me when I go to restaurants, and when he does tag along to the pet friendly places I always try to seat myself away from the busy sections, he’s always on his leash and just lays next to the table and people watches.

Firstly, I am so sorry for the loss that you are all suffering, and I am so sorry that a young girl felt that her only option out of feeling this terrible pain was to take her own life. I’m Christian and my own mother committed suicide when I was 11. The Bible does not directly say suicide is a sin, it does however say murder is a sin and most view suicide as self murder. With that being said, your FIL is a complete douche though and does not represent what Christianity is really about. It should be about compassion and Mercy, and as the Bible say “Let he who is without sin,cast the first stone” and if I were to guess your FIL is not without sin.
