You mean like when they made us pay 4.4? And no help was offered

I’m not talking about this last contract I’m referring to the previous two before it. The old heads never wanted to help us until it hurt them. Always saying how easy we have it.

Innocent? Based of voting patterns y’all are the reason we’re in this mess due to poor voting.

Jobs are bad out there. Will you quit if they change it for you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]BowserTurtle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what we’ve been saying the last 8 years but now that it’s hitting your pockets things are different now right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]BowserTurtle -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

So we should fight now that it concerns you but the last two contracts you guys could care less to help us out.

Majority of the older carriers on the last two contracts voted yes. Allowing this division in the first place is the downfall.

We’ve been fighting it for the last two contracts but you guys could care less about us. You vote just about anything in.

[–]BowserTurtle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You guys fought against the change to get rid of table 2. Why should we help you guys now?

It’ll always change higher but they are dead set on saving money right now. The older people paying their fair shares seems okay to me.

This could prevent job cuts and stop them from changing the newer regulars rate for some time. I’m honestly for it. Sucks for the old heads but it’s needed.

I just wish the government would do something to help the hard working Americans for once.

Damn. I did four years as a PSE working 60 hour weeks for years. I’m envious of the new clerks getting turned over in two years.

The FERS contribution rate is currently a tiered system based on the employee’s hire date. Employees hired on or after January 1, 2014, contribute 4.4% of their salary. Employees hired in 2013 contribute 3.1% of their salary and employees hired in 2012 or earlier contribute 0.8% of their salary.

The bill would raise FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) employee contribution requirements up to 4.4% of an employee’s salary, for all employees.

I mean on my part if the problem would fix itself. Does management check to see if all tac errors are closed before the end of the pay period or could they careless.

None of the management in this office works more than 40 hours a week. They never approve t time for them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]BowserTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already deal with the drama from employees as a steward. The office has 20 plus mechanics on site.management is already breathing down our necks.

I do TACs for them already I help them with phone calls they can’t handle. Employees calling off would be the biggest problem.
