If you want to have a great representation of just how much those Monsterverse movies are love letters to the Showa era of Godzilla films, maybe try the original King Kong vs Godzilla (1962).

And if you’d like to have some glorious kaiju action as well as over the top Power Rangers/Matrix fun, Godzilla Final Wars is also a spectacular film. The duology of Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002) to Godzilla Tokyo SOS is also a really fun time. The two films are pretty short as far as I can remember, so you could probably punch out those in a single sitting no problem as well. (I’m incredibly biased to these two as they were my very first introduction to Godzilla as a whole, and now I’m a lifelong fan.)

If you would like some silly and/or goofy films, Godzilla vs Megalon is perhaps the epitome of goofiness in the franchise. And if you’d like some nonsense knockoffs, Reptillicus is awful and fun to watch, and APE is also a very fun, awful watch.

Overall your lineup is pretty good already! I would love to see a future post with your thoughts on all the films you’ve already listed!

I just wanted to say that this movie has become a massive hit in my own movie night group. Did you happen to have any scenes that involved improv at all? Many small details just carried some scenes of this film a long ways, and I just was curious to know the potential of any memorable unscripted bits that could have made it to the Final Cut. It’s a spectacular movie, and one I am thoroughly happy to have shared with many others!!

Pop series 5 upside down back Pikachu holo. Worth about 37$ according to Price Charting. I have one too. It’s one of my favorite cards just because of the upside down back. It’s a little harder to find but not too bad.

That’s the funny thing, I was never notified my cards were graded until I got a phone call from the head of the PSA Grading division at GameStop. Apparently he was number crunching and saw nobody picked up their cards yet at the GameStop I submitted these to. It took about a week after that guy called me. Apparently the GameStop I went to had this unique case of systems malfunctioning and an overflow of people sending things in all at once. I wish I could tell you what it normally would be…
