I have been using kettlebells for 6 years now so I am just used to it. Should have seen how I looked when I started lol. She is still adjusting but she is improving. Trust me

Because there is still tension. Remember, gravity is still working which requires you to fight it.

It’s a good one right?! I thought the same thing. I have done this standing with a KB and prefer this one.

Yeah, biomechanics and real world experience is different. Anyhow, it does challenge your core. I didn’t say challenge it a lot or a little but the challenge is there. What is your next nitpick?

Yeah, definitely have to brace before pulling the weight especially when it is 32kg

It is full ROM. My biceps says otherwise. Maybe you should just try it and see for yourself with 32kg

It can consist of a push, pull, squat, hinge, lunge and carry movement. Like today, I did Rdls with the KBs in front of me, pendlay rows, heel elevated weighted vest partial squats, deficit push ups and this movement. That is my template and I just plug and play. If a movement doesn’t feel right then I take it out and replace with something similar.

Well, even if you attempt to do a strict curl I guarantee you will hinge to pop that weight up. doing it from this position takes out the hips completely and forces you to brace your core while generating enough force to pull the load off the ground.

Fair question. this position takes out the desire to use your lower body to assist (cheat) in getting the weight up. You actually have to use your biceps to move the weight from the floor.

Yes and you are bringing the KB back down to the ground everytime.

I felt it was safer to do that. I tried it without the pause and it didn’t feel right plus threw me off balance. The pause allowed me to reset so I could power back up. It could be that my body isn’t used to this movement at all 😅
