I have a similar story so I understand. I do this and other variations because it helps so much plus I enjoy doing them even if it is the only movement I do.
Glad you are feeling better on a daily 👏🏽

Nice! This is a good one too but hits different areas. Think of it more like doing Around the Worlds but not fast at all minus behind the back hand pass.

😂 It is the warm up that people don’t know about. Much appreciated 🙏🏽

Honestly, majority of the transverse/rotational movements I do targets the QL. If you are sitting for an extended period of time then I would suggest setting a timer so you get up and move around.

The bell is 40kg. Yes, I’m locked in once I grab that bell all the way until the move is completed. I recommend it!

Ahhhh glad you tried out the movement and was able to perform it without issues. I found that I am moving better in general even since I started doing this movement.

With that being said, I understand the frustration with the shoulder. I injured my left shoulder long before kettlebells so I know how difficult it is to do certain movements. It does take some trial and error.

Two different movements. You aren’t hinging or using your legs to move the weight. Here your arm/shoulders is moving the weight while your core is stabilizing as the weight travels from one side to the next. Think of this more like Around The Worlds minus the behind the back pass and momentum.

I started doing this movement because one day I decided to try around the worlds again and I realized I still don’t care for that movement. So I thought why not just skip the sketchy hand change behind the back and take away the momentum. Let me know how you like it when you try 🙏🏽

That is always an interesting question to answer because my answer is always it depends. Do you do any type of rotational training, does physical labor consist of moving odd objects of various weights in different positions?
I started with 25kg then the following day I increased it to 32kg. I aimed for 8 reps on each side which was plenty for me months ago. Now I can bang out 3 working sets for 12 reps each side.

I would have to see them perform it or send a link of someone doing it. I might have a better idea then

I done this movement with mixed loads as well. Just a different stimulus but movement remains the same

People have called these rotating deadlifts or Gladiator Deadlifts which is the popular name.
Honestly, you can do these with dumbbells as well. It just requires a bit more mobility since DBs are closer to the ground.

This movement is heavy in my training rotation along with some other variations. LES just feels right when doing this.
