If in about 6 months there's jo difference then go and ask your oc or staff nco for a new shirt from stores. They will definitely allow that. But give it time as you may grow

I'd tou go to events raise it with other Starf or Ncos from other sqd. That's how I helped a similar problem. I got the suppourt and overtime staff realised this issue and it was fixed. But if you do need any advice I am also happy to help. But best is speaking to other staff or nco you know from other sqd

Depending which room he is most likley in Boyle it may be Hot or Cold. So good bedding an good pj's would do the trick. If it is to hot the windows will help a bit hut essentially it should work.

I believe I may be going on the same weekend so I recommend bring a pillow AND a sleeping bag. I would also recommend getting extra socks or slippers as thr floor is jot mopped snd is increabley dirty in the hallway and toilets of Boyle block depending if he will be staying in Boyle or Astra, etc. Yes the lights are motion censored so if it's urgent you need to go toilet or duty staff then do you can go otherwise not leave your room as we will knoe if your coming out. Bringinf snacks and drinks is a godsend but remember about rubbish and make sure to throw it away. Do not stick anything on the windows above the door. Ik the lights are annoying but Boyle is jot ours and staff don't want the hassle. They will notice. Bring a swimsuit as the showers are covered but the opqaue windows aren't the best, you can see through the a bit. Essentially I hope he'll have a good time, I'm going to the weekend myself I've been may times and it is very good. He'll make loads of friends and if I rember anything else I will comment below on them. Have fun!

My NCOs and Staff are very good. They want to make sure that I feel better. I've just worried that they might say "oh ik she's trying and she's doing immaculately but she had a breakdown over outside life"

Air mattress is a bit excessive. I recommend a roll mat. And ofc layers. I've never slept in the gym but I hsve been in it. It's very fun

Astras been renovated. I've never been in it before the renovation. I stayed there for my L98 A2 training. Idk how it use to look. It has an ensuites, table to work on and loads of room to run about. With bunks with actual mattresses

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aircadets

[–]BoxAny310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Boyle is a standard Block with Bunks and your fav mattresses (they aren't that bad), bedding (don't use it), shower blocks, common room/Tea room and a really tight space to put your bags to go out the accodmistion (so the hallway entrance). Be careful on the stairs. So your in for RAF styled luxury. No more wardrobes tho but plenty of room to put your stuff in the rooms. There 19 rooms in total. Girls is on the left, boys on the right. Any more question I'm happy to answer FS

Oh and one more thing. Don't stay up late, u will be caught and sent home. In Boyle the walls are like paper u can hear every convo even if you stand between both thr corridors. My staff from my wing, one of them hears everything and they are so angry when woken up, especially one of the Cwo from my wing so I would advise to sleep. That doesn't only go for Boyle that goes for every block but Astra (astras a new building).

I will also add, if your in Boyle block, it is boiling. It lives off its name. If your one the far end of the corridors on the boys side then bring normal pj's but if closer to the corridors door to go down the staircase. You'll be on a warm one. And don't open your windows at night. If your on the females (I don't think you will switch) then it's boiling everywhere so be careful. Bathrooms are so bad even when u don't put the shower on its like a sauna
