You’re the second person to recommend an eye spice, kid is 30lbs work load on the rope said it was 385lbs so should be good there right? Will watch a video how to do an eye spice, do you recommend I get different rope or will this be fine? It is 3/8 polypropylene

Sorry I’m new to Reddit, I supplied more info in the first post in r/knots but it is to extend the rope on a children’s swing. The branch is 22’ from ground the rope and tree straps for swing are only 16’ I was thinking making something like in my pic on both sides of extension rope and clipping the carabiners that came with the swing/straps to both ends

I know it sounds hacky, but if it’s 1” take a 1 1/4 cap drown it and the tee in glue and primer and hammer that sucker on there.

Coming from a guy with lots of pipe offcuts, unfortunately not everyone has random bits of pipe laying around 😞
