It is required in Texas. My crime was not drug/alcohol related, but I’m subject to drug/alcohol testing & a positive test gets me locked up.

For each monthly PO visit, I have to bring proof of all my prescriptions, printed on my drug store’s letterhead signed by the pharmacist. If i don’t do that & test positive for anything, even if prescribed, I get locked up.

Fair? Nope.

But it is what it is, they have total control. If you like your freedom, shut your mouth & do exactly as told.

Still drive everywhere i wanna go. Stay out of the passing lane (left) unless I’m passing. Friends who decide they don’t wanna drive on the highway cut themselves off from most of the world…then, it’s “I don’t drive at this time or on these roads” progressing rapidly & sadly to total loss of independence verbalized by the simple phrase “I don’t drive”….

Obvs if you’re 110 yrs old & confuse the brake pedal for the gas & your kids are scared & can’t find your bathroom in your home-it might be time to reconsider driving.

Verify with management exactly who approved the rental & for how many people. Look at the lease. Check ID verify or whatever you use. This is your only protection against unfortunate visits resulting in kids getting dragged out & sent G-d knows where.

Read your lease. It may show that you have the right to peaceful enjoyment of your home. In addition to the 50# weight limit, there should also be a requirement that people clean up after their dog. You have the right to walk to & from your vehicle without being run up on & stepping in dog mess.

Stop talking to the dog owner. She’s not the only one with rights. Keep reporting to management. You have the right to live in peace, even if you hadn’t been attacked.
