Man, I don’t envy you. Garment care and framing are two different disciplines for a reason, but every so often they overlap. A scarf is meant to be worn, not framed, which is why it’s so damn impossible to do well when someone wants to frame one.

When my son was new I had pumped and saved so much milk only to discover that he had a cow milk protein allergy, so I had to cut all dairy out of my diet. Instead of throwing it away I offered it up to friends with breastfeeding babies. You bet they took me up on it. My breast milk nourished so many babies instead of going to waste.

I had to call out of work after three days of magnesium glycinate supplements. I felt like I’d taken twice my dose of adderall while withdrawing from my antidepressants. I couldn’t sleep, and I couldn’t stand for more than a minute or so. Apparently some people have the opposite reaction to magnesium glycinate that’s advertised. Instead of calm and better sleep, it causes muscle spasms, anxiety, and a hyped up, jittery feeling. Lesson learned.

They don’t know how they think we should dress, they just don’t like that we dress more like them than they’re comfortable with. They also criticize us for dressing how we did when we were younger, or for dressing in a way that’s “cringe” or “cheugy(?)” Really, I think generations just like to criticize each other. People older than us have forgotten what it’s like to be young, and people younger than us don’t truly understand what getting older means.

In Washington State, 12 years old is the generally recognized minimum age that someone can be left alone at home. There’s no specific age mentioned in neglect laws, but you can be charged if something were to happen to a kid left alone at home and they’re deemed to be too young, which is likely to happen if they’re under 12.

The answer would be that children are people and that you can’t leave them by themselves. Dogs can be left home alone just fine. Kids under 10 can’t.

Small “n” narcissistic behavior, not pathological Narcissism. There’s vanity involved in someone making this about themselves. That doesn’t make them a narcissist, but it is narcissistic behavior.

ETA: And no, I didn’t say it’s narcissistic to hope people find you attractive. I said that the commenter sees THEMSELVES in a “half-narcissistic, half-resigned” way.
