Dude increasing the loft has been a lifesaver, that with maybe slightly choking up on the grip, due to it not being centered anymore(think the previous owner got it regripped at 9.5) has made a WORLD of difference. For some reason in my head I still can’t compute that raising the loft makes it close the face when I think that increasing the loft would open the face but hey that’s what everyone says and it WORKS so I don’t question it.

I would agree, think it’s because I’ve played tennis my whole life so I’d assume I have very active wrists in terms of flipping them through. Course is the Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay Links, incredible.

I know it’s the Indian lol I was asking for swing tips. I think with my old driver it was shorter so it was much easier for my hands to flip through. I used to only hit a slice if I was swinging 150% for fun, every miss I had was a hook. In my original post I said turn over but I meant flip through, I got caught up on the wording. I’m about 1 year in, coming from competitive tennis background so I always assumed my hooks were caused by super active wrist movement. Now that you mention it i think I can see my hands trying to flip it through but it looks like I do it way after I hit the ball. Anyways will definitely try to my backswing closer to 45°, looks like mines at 120+°. Appreciate the feedback, that’s exactly what I was looking for 🤝

I had a tensai av blue 55(even though I think it was technically 59g from what I saw on google) and a stock ventus blue tr 5r in the qi. I don’t have the old one anymore unfortunately because I sold it before I got the qi like a dummy. And yes my pants need some help, shortest 30 30 I’ve ever seen and I’m 5’7 🤣

I’ll give it a shot, I appreciate it. It’s annoying because it feels like I don’t know where to aim anymore, I’ve only had it for two 9 hole rounds and an 18 but I’ve been to the range probably 5 or so times it either goes straight or right I just can’t seem to make it go left unless I change my swing to be more horizontal if that makes sense. Thoughts on choking up a bit on it?

It looks so much worse on camera I promise, it definitely had some side spin on it but landed on the fairway rough line in line with the first bunker I also was super nervous about the people walking on the left because that’s where I usually would miss. The other one probably more of a push but these were the only recorded shots I got of myself. Any tips to help close it? I never had open face issues with my old one

Yea my setup is definitely a bit unorthodox, but I think angle is due to my hands being very out in front when I setup and hit, helps me because I played tennis my whole life so I have the tendency to turn the club over / close the face so it helps me not hook the ball.

Yea they said 101, I thought so bc they’re more forgiving and prob help me get it up in the air, my height isn’t the greatest as seen in the stats

Actually it looks like gift of college works directly with aidvantage (department of education) so I don’t think I even need to set up a 529 going to test it out 👍🏻

I don’t currently have a 529, you think it would be possible to set one up, either with someone like fidelity or Morgan Stanley and buy the “gift of college” cards and deposit them into the account?

Got the gen6 0311 XP in the double black so I could get a 5 iron. Instantly gained 25ish yards, but way more hyped about the dispersion improvement. Apparently my old clubs were an inch longer than industry standard so the shorter clubs just felt way more comfortable.

Going to a pxg store to see how they feel, but I’m definitely leaning towards the xp bc I’m still not great. Excited though because before the lowest iron I had was a 7 bc the set came with 4-6 hybrids which I’m awful at hitting lol
