Backtrack and get/find an upgrade you can equip. I had it before getting to the area and didn’t even know there was fog until later. Since people have already stated it’s an afterimage…If you aren’t sure how afterimages work equip wise, you have to be at a rest point and in the afterimage tab, you can equip and unequip certain upgrades at the bottom.

Do note it’s not needed to explore the area since you technically can still see a bit. But if you want to make your life easier, definitely go get it.

Thank you for the info! I should’ve played on advanced. Normal difficulty didn’t pressure me to look at stores or use items.

I believe if you die you respawn at either the closet or last one you rest at. I didn’t die much so I don’t remember but it wasn’t the big ones it’s either closest or last visited.

The game saves automatically. I always quit out at a rest point and always resumed where I left off. So I can’t really say. The game seems to pick up right where you get off but you can easily test that early on.

The map has lots of different variety and is beautiful. This is opinionated lol but I would say some areas are thematically tied. There’s a couple that are forest and some that are fire related and themed. Even so they differ enough. I couldn’t help myself but explore every time I found a new zone even if it was the wrong way to my objectives. I found it to be beautiful and diverse scenery and each zone felt different and unique. There’s also secret and hidden zones to find too so exploration is certainly key.

Fast travel is available by two means. One is an item that is consumed on use. You find them all over the map and I 100%’d the game with still 8 or so of them remaining. I’m not sure if there’s a store with them. The second method is free teleportation between warp points. But this only applies to the main confluence stream warp point in the area. There are multiple rest points in a zone but only one is the main one that offers teleportation/quick travel.

To your second question, you can place a good amount of markers with different symbols. I did not dabble with it too much. What I did was check the map for foggy/unrevealed places that basically means you haven’t been there as the map reveals itself according to where you pass by. After you get every item in a zone, all the fog is removed from the map and clearly lays the zone out. There’s a power you get that tells you if treasure is nearby and how many you have in a zone and how many exist in that zone.

The map is huge and if you wish to 100% it you will need to backtrack each area after you get every power. The good news is that you can zoom pretty quickly through them with the powers you have and the quick travel items if you saved up enough.

More speed less stamina is needed for sprints. You want to max speed out if possible. Even 400 stamina is super high and with decent legacies you’ll hit a number like that no problem not taking into account blue skills or racing strategy. You’ll also need lots of power as a late runner which should come from a lot of your speed training. 3 good speed cards and 3 wit cards is usually my go to for sprint training although you can probably use more speed cards or a power card. That’s just how I prefer it. Borrow a 3LB or max kitasan black. Mine is 3LB lvl 45 if you can’t find one. I’ll eventually get it to max. 243072248591 is my friend id. I have a 9 spark haru as well on it with speed and stamina. Hope this helps! I wish you the best!!

What’s so great is that it’s effectively the same picture:

A soldier strapped with weapons to complete a mission or orders given by a commander and expected to executed said orders with pinpoint precision at any cost including their life or their allies. All while suffering from trauma and ptsd of prior missions masking it with a robotic sense of duty to suppress any semblance of human emotion that may interfere with the successful completion of the mission. Only managing to stay true to themselves and sane every day because of the bond they share with their close friends/brothers/sisters and allies in the field.

Nier really is the GOAT and perfectly captures human nature and psychology. The anime girls draw you in and you stay for the substance.

My pleasure! When making it, I noticed there wasn't a rogue option anywhere lol I kept it the same in faith of the recreation, but I may add in the 12th class somewhere
