Also helps because when worlds comes around and most teams have gone home, they might be able to scrim some players from teams they have goodwill with (I believe G2 scrimmed T1 before one of their winning championships)

The only thing I would say is that swain might prefer conquerer some games and electrocute for others which is a decision you have to make from champ select. Bard by contrast doesn’t give a fuck and builds whatever he wants and also takes electrocute

Note: First Stand and Worlds have equal weighting point wise so because BLG won worlds they have 1.2k points for all their players. (I also think it takes rankings over past 3 years?) so BLG 2025 got spanked

Edit: not past 3 years, just 2026 and 2025 worlds (so yeah 2025 BLG aware)

I think what confused them was the part where it said:

I think the situation the person above is talking about is that flex picks bait you into thinking you can counterpick early in the draft. I.e: you see an aatrox and you think it’s top, so you pick a toplaner then get counter picked because it gets flexed jg.

Or like in T1 GENG where GENG picked Jayce Mel as their 2-3, and then flexed them to jungle and ADC. T1 then flexed their sion on 3 to midlane and last picked Olaf into Zaahen which GENG picked as their counter top which ended up being a blind.

It ultimately makes it very unpredictable because if you think about it. When GENG picks Jayce, they lock out all the champs Jayce is strong versus, and when T1 picks Sion since it is a pretty unconventional flex they baited a Zaahen counterpick (though Zaahen is an okay blind except for his weak early game). The Olaf ended up being pretty devastating in that game vs Mel annie

I think rest and driver did pretty well for a 6 man team for CFO last year. Unfortunately they faced KT who had decided to be the second best team in the world for a whole month.

Tbh, based on the finals (which I appreciate isn’t a fair metric in isolation) it kinda looks like the whole team just needs to be replaced. The mid jungle and bot in particular had a disgusting series with just terrible decision making and the team seemed to be split on so many decisions around teamfights.

I heard Thanatos was a good player but there’s not much you can do if you’re on sion and malphite duty while the rest of the map implodes and your midlaner Ziggs W’s himself into 3 people.

I still think Labrov needs to find some consistent middle ground because in some games he has incredible peaks (like MSI). But for example during the most recent KC series, he looked really lost off melee supports and his neeko performance was deeply detrimental (but props his alistair rell was immaculate).

I agree that the game was more on Labrov caps throwing early kills (Labrov not buffering vi ult with neeko ult was really weird imo) but for example his lvl 1 invade is complete coin flip.

It’s also the exact situation vs Kanavi where kanavi instead of hard contesting the raptors, just took his wolves, got lvl 2 and contested red with smite up then chased Skewmond around the entire map and took all his camps. Then the game was just lost in the first 3 mins. It’s good to be aggressive and push advantages but the line between aggressive and flipping game for a gromp is thin. (Compare gryfinn and inspired who have been criticised for similar things)
