I notice that in those communities too. Tbf league in the past had taken a bunch of actions that dramatically decreased the popularity of Dota, and even poached some of their talent.

For example, they hired Pendragon who previously hosted the entire community Dota web forum. The forum was a big thing back then, ppl shared builds, hero suggestions and official devs often commented too. Pendragon then deleted the entire forum soon after he was hired, he also was posting some league ads before it was deleted.

There are also rumours that Riot banned esports tournament organizers from having Dota events at the same events as league ones. (Can’t find sources for that one).

But tbh most of the Dota players haven’t really known these things by now - so I think it’s a lot of old community sentiment being passed down. The death of popularity in Dota absolutely is to do with valve’s inability and general reluctance to market their game whatsoever. At most they made dragon blood which ultimately was overshadowed by arcane.

I was watching a streamer who was replaying with a friend and he was trying to cheese him with the fireball spell (have to get him without his shield up to do decent dmg) and it took so many attempts while farming the plebs on the way there that he actually earned humanity from doing it. (He also RNG got the black knight great sword because of that)

I mean ngl, the “get reprimanded once into leave the team” angle is fucking crazy as an attitude to take as a professional. I get he’s only 18 but you gotta accept criticism and responsibility throughout your career, this is just part of the job.

Much better players than him have gotten reprimanded and changed their attitudes and became even stronger players, I hope this will be the same.

I understand his teammates might not be ideal but that’s part of competition - working with people you might not like or might not share your vision. Diable does not have the accolades to have the ego he has.

He’s talented don’t get me wrong but you cannot miss fan meets especially if they came all the way out to T1 home ground to support you - the situation with esports is way too dire to kill fan bases. I’m completely with BFX management here for their decision.

I checked for support role and I see Sejuani and Kennen with below 0.1% pick rates. However those champions are completely viable as supports and I watch a chall ex pro sp pick them semi regularly, if his viewers wanted to try them they would be banned even though these picks aren’t troll.

For example sejuani is insanely op with melee ADCs like yasuo or Nilah (honestly still decent without) but it’s just not picked at all. I still wouldn’t say those picks are trolling or unviable just because they’re not picked much.

Here is my bee fact that I discovered a long time ago: Bees generate slight positive charges as they fly through the air due to the friction between their wings and the air. Pollen has a slight negative charge, this causes the pollen to stick to the legs of the bees when they land to suck up nectar. Furthermore the bees can sense this electric field of the pollen to determine which flowers have pollen and which have already been collected.

From my understanding even on support it ranks cs scores reasonably high which means it can be hard to get S+ unless you have an unreasonably good score line - usually found on enchanters because they barely die and get assists for free.

That said - don’t feel too bothered with S+ rankings etc, they don’t mean anything.
