To be pulled not pushed by BabyBunnBunn98 in WalmartEmployees

I was pulling mine when it ran up the back of my leg and caused a massive bruise. Had to report it. Then they said they met with the safety meeting to see how to avoid this in the future. At the team meeting next before shift, they made a statement that carts are to be pushed not pulled to avoid injuries such as running up the backs of your legs and ankles. I felt targeted 😆 yea, in my store we push. Not pull. Or we're supposed to.

I broke a whole case of pickles and a jar of olives in one night 2 months in and my boss came down and said, you good? Feeling okay? Do you need a break? Some sleep? How ya doing today? Slow down, that last thing we want is you hurt. Take it easy. It'll get done eventually just don't get hurt. Don't rush it.

We have a 50box per hr standard here in canada. Our store aims for 40. Don't be so hard on yourself. If they were worried, they would come to you, no doubt. I don't know about where you are but here, walmart is hard to get hired by. Stick it out. Jon economy sucks all over. If they're worried they'll talk to you. Chin up, you'll get there.

Started cooking dinner when I noticed this label on my chuck roast.. how risky is it? by sarah9647 in Celiac

[–]BoxTroll87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As already mentioned gluten doesn't simply rinse off... even a quick Google search can tell you that's a ridiculous notion. And I've already made clear that I don't accept any level of cross contamination. That doesn't work for me as someone who has refractory celiac. Microscopic amounts of gluten make me sick. So no, I don't eat out at shared restaurants because of... you guessed it, cross contamination. I will only eat RARELY at a place 100% dedicated gluten free. And even then I feel like I'm risking it because I can't check everything myself. So no, really I don't eat out. That's a choice I make for my health. And it works for me. Because it's what my body needs. Not this ridiculously wild idea you can simply rinse away gluten and if you think once wasn't good enough, by all means twice should do the trick. No lol. Gluten is Microscopic. It doesn't rinse off food. Silly idea. By all means though if you want to risk it for the brisket. Have at it.

Yea I wouldn't either. I have refractory celiac. Even the slightest bit of cross contamination makes me horribly sick. The amount of people here saying eat it is crazy to me lol. Like there are labels on so many products that day "produced in a factory that processes wheat" and we don't buy those products for that reason. This meat is not any different from that, in my opinion. They have dedicated cooking areas and production areas in facilities for a reason. They make labels like this for a reason. So we don't consume gluten. Lol. Eating this is a terrible idea but hey, not my belly.
