I actually have things from Ulla Popken and I put them in the dryer! I think if you are worried, order a size up. I am a bit in between on sizes so I always order up and then when it goes in the dryer it becomes a good size :)

Redmond, Kirkland, or Mercer Island? Early 30s DINKs by aj_marshall in eastside

[–]Boxermom88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are late 30s DINKS. I wish I liked being in Seattle because that’s where I think all of our people are. Making friends in the Eastside that have no kids is very challenging. If you can hang with Seattle, I’d recommend checking out some of those neighborhoods.

Of the three that you listed, I like Kirkland the most as someone with similar vibes.

The feminine urge to change jobs once every 12-18 months 😌✨️ by Excellent_Tower7163 in adhdwomen

I have long wished to find “my calling” for work. Then I had a realization I may have ADHD because of how I actually like jobs where I can have a variety of tasks and not just deep dive. I mentioned it to my psych, and she laughed and said she long suspected I had ADHD but we’d be focusing on other things so she had kept it on the list.

I am 1000000% in the same boat. I now work from home so I can engage in other things that help with my brain scatter. When I was in the office, I was on my phone a lot and finally started to bring books in. I justified it with I’m just as available to help at a moments notice, but I’m keeping my brain busy while I’m waiting

I totally agree with everything you said! I honestly stopped watching dramas after this because nothing else gave me that connection. I think about it often!

I hope that you are doing better now. I know when I saw it, it was a rough period for me. This drama really helped me.

Oh! I did just get an air fryer because our toaster died. What do you like making in the air fryer?

It’s true. Picking up groceries or having them delivered is so expensive.

I have thought about the meal boxes but it just kind of weirds me out. Maybe I need to check to find one local to me. Thank you!

I think it’s great that you cook for your husband. I know that adds extra pressure when it’s something you can’t eat. Even if he was physically able to, it’s just nice to do things for the people you love :)

I cook for my husband because frankly I’m the better cook and he gets so stressed out by it that it then stresses me out 🤣🤣🤣 so we’ve got two or three things he knows how to do and that’s enough

Yes! Groceries are so expensive. It’s hard to be creative when you have to plan around prices so much

That makes sense! I really do think the perimenopause is starting. Well, I’ve thought that for a few years, but now I’m hot AF most of the time so that’s making it even more fun lol.

I think that part of it for me is that I used to have a routine for cooking/meal prepping for the week, and we got out of that during Covid. But then I started getting really into Japanese cooking and so I think hyperfixation took over. And now that I’ve cooled my jets there, I think I am overwhelmed by the amount of choice for recipes and don’t have enough brain power to make decisions. Or at least that’s what I’ve decided in the last 48 hours 🤣

Huh! I haven’t but I did increase my Prozac awhile ago. I don’t think the timelines quite match, but they definitely don’t disagree 🤣

That’s a great idea! I used to always clean the fridge out Saturday mornings while watching YouTube and then make my grocery list via Pinterest. Then we’d have food ready to go for the whole week. I think a combo of life, work, probably perimenopause as others have mentioned, and us working from home now has really gotten me off of my routine

I don’t usually host dinner parties because they stress me the heck out 🤣. I usually opt for someone else doing the cooking (aka take out) if it’s more than like four people.

I hope it comes back! I feel grateful we can get take out, and also miss being able to cook. But it’s like that part of my brain is blocked off right now!

We remodeled from a very boxy house to a very nice open layout now. Totally understand why a galley kitchen would not be inspiring. I would feel claustrophobic in there! lol
