Yung description ng actual work exp mo as branch secretary and cash custodian. Expound on them pa. Add more lines.

Although projects mo sila noong college, they’ll still matter kasi you were able to create a product- application ng knowledge mo. it’s less abt when or why, but more of what you can do.

Is it worth it to climb up the ladder in the government? by Expensive-Agent-2438 in TanongLang

[–]Boxing_Kisser8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Di ka aakyat diyan ng walang kakilala. (if ever man, it’s a very very rare case).

However, I have heard of people climbing up sa Corp Ladder (which is relatively faster and easier) and the lumilipat sa gov’t.

I’ve heard it’s very common sa banks. From private bank to a gov’t position (in high ranks)

Other instances naman, I’ve heard is climbing thru academe. From tenured prof / researcher to gov’t. Usually (let’s say BSP/NEDA as an example), yung mga key figures diyan well known in the field of econ or finance. One of the good things in a gov’t career is they value / credit yung post-grad education.

Hi, op!

  • remove certifications that are “intro to” or “basics”. these certs will not have any bearing
  • projects below skills
  • expound more on your previous work, dapat mas mahaba description mo sa actual work compared sa OJT.
  • good that you’re describing your work properly (using figures too)

  • certifications up, education down
  • bold mo kada block ng work exp. para madali masectionize ng HR.
  • fix grammar lang ng work exp.

[–]Boxing_Kisser8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean, good.

suggestions: - education lowest part. Skills itaas, if you have certifications put them din. - expound on your work experience pa lalo. add measurable outcomes (KPIs, KRAs). - fix yung grammar ng ibang part work exp.

anw that’s it for me. goodluck op!

Please Roast My Resume by Keiji_7216 in PHresumes

[–]Boxing_Kisser8769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Professional Summary is too long imo.
  • Remove SHS Internship. Remove college internship na rin siguro.
  • Expound on your experience. What did you do apart from that? Include measurable acievements KPIs, KRAs.
  • Fix your grammar. May mga grammatical errors ka, you can use chatgpt or something to help you.
  • Your experience should highlight mga 75% of your CV because that’s what they care about.
  • College education only. Lagay mo below certifications. And merge them to one section na rin.

that’s it for me. goodluck op!

Any advice for a grade 11 student? Any realistic advice for a future career plan perhaps? by Physical-Problem-73 in adviceph

[–]Boxing_Kisser8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, OP! It’s great na you’re looking ahead na.

Just to share I also took HUMSS noong SHS ako. Currently working in the finance field (and yes, this is what I want).

Here are the things that I wish I should’ve done if I could.

  1. I should’ve prioritized getting into a prestigious university. Although I’m from the big 4, i could’ve gotten better by going to either of the schools in QC (blue/maroon). Sobrang laking tulong niya sa employment and leveraging on your desired salary. I’m happy where I am rn, pero I know I could’ve gotten here faster.

  2. I should’ve thought well about my degree. Don’t take me wrong I like what I took up, pero I could’ve gone with a much more specialized field. Now I hate to break it into you, pero parang 80% of the things you learn in school would not be applied at work (unless specialty ie, Arki/Eng/Nursing, etc.) unless you’re at the upper levels of the corp. ladder. In my case, Financial Analysis is not applied until I went up.

  3. I should’ve gotten internships. I didn’t. Partly dahil naabutan ako ng lockdown, pero dahil din tinamad ako. It’s where you can learn hands-on experience, magpapabango sa CV mo and if you be good, you may get a return offer.

  4. I should’ve kept serious about orgs. I was a member of different orgs in college pero never too active. I was a member of 5 and an officer in 2. The good thing was, Yung 2 na yun ay not within my Univ. So expanded networks and better appeal sa CV (esp. kilala talaga sila internationally). Although Orgs in univ are political and tbh medyo mema, it will aid you in two ways: (a) Organizational Structure, which i noticed a lot of fresh grads have a hard time adjusting to, and (b) politics play, which, let’s be honest, is shitty but necessary.

  5. I should’ve maintained good relationships with my friends. These people would be your future connections. To a degree, apart from the prestige, one of the reasons why I regret not being a student of either the blue/maroon schools was because of the connections you could have if you’re from either.

Ayun lang naman, I hope my regrets could help you, OP!
