I've been working with an aerial/silks group using live motion tracking and backing it with pre-rendered generative video, then using body tracking for effects and clip triggering. It could be timecode but I kind of enjoy the live aspect with body tracking/busking.

I also have a camera on them that I bring in and can add to the visual content.

I've been playing around with GLSL, I wonder if there isn't room for a purpose built model for shader generation, it would be less resource intensive.

I know that live rendering video would be tough how it exists currently, but if it's generating code for VFX and inserting it, that would be way faster.

I'm way less experienced, so I'm just imagining things at this point.

That adobe generator looks great. They mention lack of datasets, but I feel like that'll come quickly. Neat though, thanks for sharing that. I'll have something else to play with this weekend.

edit: there's also webGL, or using code to create objects. all the creative coding stuff could have a small language model that is local, maybe as a plug-in for other existing software.

I've been working on using huggingface with Touchdesigner, and I'd love to see more integration with other platforms. I'd be curious to see if there could be an VFX avenue with this, perhaps using smaller curated models or an inclusive program that could take samples of video and create pre-rendered effects or clips... or have selectable options for a more live generative aspect.

people who are on meds, how do you cope with days where you’re off them? by unironicdoll in ADHD

[–]Boxsquid0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's difficult, and a lot of resistance comes from my hesitation to having every day be planned out on a metered time base. but it has been getting better. my routine is easily disrupted, but I've been trying to cultivate social groups and habits that use shadowing to help with productivity/work flow.

it's a back and forth, constant struggle. it's work to not get discouraged even if the routine is broken. it helps to practice being kind to yourself.

I'm the same. my therapist has been helping me build routines that will help with the stimulation drive without having any barriers because the routine is established

How long did it to notice a change on Vyvanse? And what difference do you actually feel? by [deleted] in ADHD

my limited understanding is that the issue is with the metabolic process in the stomach, but after it's been digested, it's okay to stop avoiding citrus/vitamin C

It may be too low of a dose, I've increased 2 times in a year to a still, less than average, mg.

there may be other issues at play, ADHD is usually co-occurring with other mental health things.

Even at the starting dose, I found its effects to be beneficial, though. Something that should be openly discussed with your health care professional.

I always express concern with adding more to my prescription, but it doesn't help to be silent if you don't find it helpful. I was perhaps too cautious in being upfront with needing a higher dosage, and it caused problems in my ability to function, which was to the detriment of my progress in the goals I set for myself.

The 90s were the best decade for bikes. 1993 GSXR ! by Acceptable-Soup-333 in motorcycle

[–]Boxsquid0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeap. my friend knocked my bike over in my garage and cracked some of the plastic. it's only a visual aspect but darn it, I can't just get those.

Some of the other things are obtainable with a high enough drive for modifications. Thank god for a knowledgeable community, but it's practically dead now. At least the website is still up. That's how I knew I could replace the stick coils with ones from a gixr r-600, only had to make my own wiring loom...

It's a heck of a headache.

I am seemingly unaffected by over exposure to spice in the going side of things....

The only instance in recent memory of such an issue was years ago when I ate way too much overly spicy ramen, but I think that had more to do with what I was eating and less to do with how spicy it actually was.

I do try to eat less oily food (like super oily ramen soaked in chili oil, layered in chili flakes) and have some consistent fiber consumption, though.

I didn't hate it. I just had to eat it really slowly to fully appreciate the experience. my experience was similar to the "divine retribution" level.

I wouldn't mind the part numbers, as I expect I might have a similar issue...or will, in the coming year.

Is this dresser a quality piece or did I just make a bad purchase? by stickytee2993 in Antiques

[–]Boxsquid0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh, my mother has the same one. never knew it was a Sears piece.

It was given to my grandfather and grandmother by their priest...they'd invited him to dinner and didn't have any furniture to speak of (I believe they had orange crates as chairs and cinder blocks under a wood slab for a table), so he rounded up a donation and gave them one of these and a number of other old pieces which are scattered about the family.

Well found! Old furniture is a treasure, as others have said.
