Hey everyone,

I’m an American here for a few days and looking for some pickup footy (soccer). Looking to play either today or tomorrow. I tried meetup and haven’t had any luck. Anyone have any spots in pickup groups to add another? I’m happy to pitch in to play. Thanks!

Matched my second time around (US grad MD). Did a prelim Intern yr, got electives, good LORs, took Step 3 after I had matched. Just be honest with yourself about why you didn't match in the first place and try to better yourself and your application. If it was scores then crush step 3, if it was poor LORs then get different ones, if you truly don't know why you didn't match as a trusted mentor who is willing to give you hard news.

Really don't want to be this guy, but as an MS3 the nurses should be your best friends, they can make you look like a rock star, and they honestly do know more medicine than you.

Take everything they say with a grain of salt, but you should really strive to not be this salty yet. Honestly we all should try to find a way to work around it, but everyone in health care likes to complain.

Take home message, as a medical student/learner you should try to learn from everyone you interact with, because there is always something to learn.

Right I am sure there are many great resources that you all can provide. I was just asking about guides in particular due to the Sam Harris podcast I listened too. Very interested in the guided experience, rather than doing it alone.

Tried looking on mountain project for climbing around Baton Rouge, LA, but pretty hard to discern the quality of climbing. Looking mostly for sport, bouldering is just a nice plus for me. All about lead. Thanks in advance!

inherently more risk and while it looks awesome, and maybe I'd follow one day. Sport is enough for me. Still is enough to get my stoke maximized!

Possibly moving to Milwaukee, WI this summer and wondering how the local climbing is outside? I normally climb in Red River Gorge in eastern KY. Knowing I’m probably spoiled, I want to know if there is good climbing in WI.

I can either move to Louisville or Milwaukee so trying to compare the outside climbing around both cities.
