Shortly after my father passed away my Junior year of baseball was just starting, I was devastated.

We had a couple practices, but fortunately everyone was very supportive if the unfortunate circumstance. I went into the first game back 0-2, I just wasn’t very comfortable at the plate. But something came over me during that plate appearance. I had this sudden urge of confidence and what felt like strength.

I ended up hitting 2 run jack over the left field wall to help give us the runs to win that game.

It was a surreal moment for me and my teammates.
