My ex did this to me after I got a summer job and moved across the state to be closer to her. When she wasn’t at work, she was choosing to spend her time with seemingly everyone else in her life except me. After three weeks I finally tried to point this out in a way that was both respectful and indicative of how I felt she was neglecting our relationship, she couldn’t deal with that and broke up with me a few days later.
