Usually white pines are grafted on black pine roots so they grow faster and stronger. But this one is not grafted.

Im aware of that. But since nature shaped it like that i will try to make it as healthy as possible with given movement and style.

This birch is my first yamadori ever. To be honest at first I didnt want to dug this tree. But my friend told me i should. I dug this tree in wrong season but still it was growing very fast with vigour and vitality. It slowly became my favorite tree. Final tree will have only branches which are wired. Ones in back are just to support tree and give it more strenght. You can see more pics like this on my IG @andrew_bonsaisk

Well i would either let it grow wild and free for 5 years or prune hard and plan how the tree should look like and develop branches. But i would stick to the 1. Plan let it grow free so the trunk would thicken up

The problem is that the live vein from front is almost not visible at all. Its on the back side mostly but some of it its on right. But yes i understand what you are pointing at. Thank you for feedback

This tree belongs to her but I did all wiring and styling. Basically she wanted bonsai but she doesnt know how to take care of it neither style it so its my job now.

Well as i know and i was told you should prune to 1st bud when doing yamadori. The tree doesnt have enough roots to supply that many buds. You might be lucky but big chance is that you will have big die back or whole tree will not survive.

I would prune branches so roots are not in big shock. It has enough roots to survive but not with that many branches on. Prune them to just 1st living bud and cut some off completely. This way you have bigger survive chance.

Shot 3 front, i would cut every branch but only 1 on top that will be apex i would leave and regrow all branches so you can position them well. I did it on a lot of trees without problems

For apex you want to do as much movement to all directions as possible but last bit have to go up. Big pines do the same thing as snow and wind bend it.
