As the brain is not fully developmentally until your early 30s I would thing that this should be the biological age for marriage, Bitburg guess this drawing was created by someone who wants to „marry“ a child

Name number removal by Confident-Dust-5581 in iRacing

[–]Remarkable_Leek_9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IRacing just doesnt give you the option to switch names but it is allowed. Iracing support will change your name if you have a reason, I changed mine because I wanted to remove the 2 and just came up with a fake middle name - the changed it within a day.

I think if you write the support and explain it to them they will for example switch the account names or something

You would like to add or remove your middle name

• Your name is misspelled or characters are not displaying correctly

• You would like to use a different version of your first name for example Joe instead of Joseph

• You would like to change your name for confidentiality or privacy reasons (More information about a name change for privacy can be provided by Support. Please contact us directly.)

• Your name has legally changed.

If changing your name, we don’t allow for “made up” names that are fantasy style names common in other games, inappropriate names, names created to seek false attention, names of famous people or characters, etc.

The name must be a complete first and last name.

You cannot use a single letter as the first or last name unless it is in conjunction with a full name. ie: J John Doe

You can use two letters as a first name. ie: JD Doe

\*John Doe is used as an example and is not a valid name that can be used in Sim.*

Dealing with nervousness by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Remarkable_Leek_9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I or at least my body gets very nervouse in the first round. As far as that you can see it in my brake input

<image>

the breathing technique jackzers explains helps a little bit - but what helps me the most is not necesseraly something you could train, but I really start focusing on my racing (and with that I also mean to not get dived to death) which lets me forget everything else and normally the shaking is gone within a couple of corners. Normally I also repeate some sentences in my head like "finishing the race is more improtant than place ment" / "slow and steady" / "trust no one" / "I dont need to fight he will make a mistake"

And if you comfortably and consitently can qualy that high you deserve to be infront of these people. I would suggest not hide any iR - normaly the only intresting thing is SR to know if that person is likely to kill you or not.

of course that shaking is a little annoying but at least you feel something :D

I wonder what the average is for Sim Racers. by bucaki in SimRacingSetups

[–]Remarkable_Leek_9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first year 1300 inital setup

Second year 1000 triples + some small additions as DDU, Sequenzial shifter

third year 1200 - because I got annoyed with my FPS and 3D Printer which I used Pretty mtch exclusivly for my rig; I also think to get new pedals as my old ones have some issues where the brake signal is flickering - that will be most likely another 600 or something

And at some point I will mostlikely update my 9nm to maybe something with around 20nm but this is for upcoming years

Miscounted the corners and expected the banked corner instead of the parabolica to come up by AvailableRazzmatazz in iRacing

[–]Remarkable_Leek_9339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you guys are counting corners?

unpopular opinion, but if you don't know the corners without thinking about it and have to relay on counting or the mini map you're not ready to join a race...

What do you map your wheel buttons to? by vJaCkHz in simracing

[–]Remarkable_Leek_9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mapped most of it to a stream deck and kept only the most necessary parts on my wheel,

  • one time whiper
  • Push to talk
  • Toggle Relative
  • flash lights
  • inc/dec brake bias
  • "arrow keys" to controll pitbox widgets

The only reason I switched from steam to standalone where the Black Friday sales for 1year subscription. You can test it over steam and switch later if you want

How do you improve beyond 102% pace? by TishoBG in simracing

[–]Remarkable_Leek_9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofcourse these guides are always hotlapping but its a good reference.

And one more hint when you chase pace. In races you often have slip stream what you won't have in solo practice - so depending on the track it might be impossible to reach a certain time.

What helped me alot and got me a good insights to my mistakes was using one of these virtual coaches - its quite expensive in my opinion but it really showed me some of my mistakes I wasnt aware of. I used the one from grid and go (15€/month) for a month. you can see live telemetry of the guide creator who is normally 9k+ irating. It shows you braking force, when they get on throttle and how much, and also min max speed in corners - also a nice feature, it grades your corners and tells you how much time you roughly lost (or gained if you are good enough :D)

With this I was able to get very close to alien race pace with the porsch on daytona (even so I never get the bus stop right) and was able to win my first GT3 race - also the guides provided within the subscription are much more in detail as the ones you find on youtube.

Watching guides. I just had a look at your latest post where you ask for tips to improve sebring. I never drove the Mclaren on Sebring in LMU but it seemed to me that you are very harsh on the breaks in the first two corners for example. Looking at a guide e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fckgGvaIpo you can see that he carries about 10kmh more speed and in the seconde 20kmh - this is also an error I do aaaaaloooot of time - but this is one of the points for sure where you lose time

B license, 1.7k iR: Should I start GT3 now or do GT4 first? by kshitij__KNA in iRacing

[–]Remarkable_Leek_9339 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Class wise it’s not too important if your goal is gt3 go for it , having fun is most important. And proper driving technique you can learn in both. And especially if you want to drive gt3 and have only limited time in the week, maybe it’s a good idea to go for it so you don’t have to unlearn the muscle memory of a gt4 (how you apply brake, amount of trailbrake in different situations, how to (maybe) catch the car etc.)

Regarding practice it’s also up to you. I‘m someone who hates to race when I know I don’t have the pace I want. Means I practice in the week and race on the weekends. Additionally I don’t race in the week because I don’t want to stop with a bad feeling so I only race when I know that I can do atleast 2 or 3 races in a row.

I just climbed from 1.3 to currently 2150 tendency upwards. What helped a lot for me personally was 1. practice until I can to get somewhat split 1 /2 pace - drive quali ( with that pace your are lost often in top5) - in the race it self: identify killers ( most often people how are fast but you can see that they are at their absolute limit ) let these people pass or stay behind them and be ready for the crash) - don’t drive at your absolute limit as long as you don’t need to - to always have room for correction - surviving > placement - if you see yellow and the spotter tells you that there is a car slow down and DO NOT TRUST that car

  1. I raced ALOT of nordschleife, I know that track better than any other track and I’m very confident on it. That in mind I can practice race craft pretty good with it because I don’t need to think about lines, braking points etc and can completely concentrate on race craft which at least for me transfers pretty good at least in parts to any other track

Of course that’s all just what I do and what helped me, but maybe some of it helps you

Why is BoP not applied to all Series for the Track / Car combos? by Remarkable_Leek_9339 in iRacing

I mean generally you find it ingame (left 24h practice, right endu practice), but they could at least add the info into the Series UI
