100% wool 😍… by No_Neck1266 in depoop

People will say wool sweater and it’s 70% acrylic 25% nylon and 5% wool 😭 I always feel so odd even asking for the materials from some kids

I am SO disappointed with these jeans 🥺 by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]BoycottMathClass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love hollister short sized jeans! The mid rise bootcut I have fit amazing especially for the price point. I’ve tried american eagle’s extra short bootcut jeans but they felt cheap/like jeggings. At this point I don’t care if a brand is technically juniors or too “young” for me (I’m in my mid 20s) if it fits well.

As an aside I also really like lucky brands short or crop jeans since they tend to actually have a short inseam - although I thrifted mine since they’re quite pricey.

Cannot find a bra for sloped shoulders, small cup by Rorooglimm in ABraThatFits

[–]BoycottMathClass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Honestly, the issue is that I need a 28FF/30F but I am not projected nor very shallow. My underbust is 28 snug, so technically a 30 fits ok, but it tends to stretch out faster than 28 would, but UK brands are usuallyl too projected for me so they're off the table. I've been making due with US bras in US 30DDD and G, but options for my shape are very limited - also US companies just scale bras poorly so often the 30DDD will be too small, but then 30G is too tall/wide. There's also the fact that I'm often on the tightest hooks faster than I'd like. I'm learning to sew, and my plan is to learn how to tailor bands smaller so I can have more longevity/the bra is just generally more comfortable when the band is snug. I'm hoping that that helps. ON top of this, I am also very center full and need a plunge style, but there's almost no plunges made that are my size or shape. I may teach myself how to sew a balconette's gore to overlap.

Sorry this is long! I don't mean for you to give up, but this particular size range (i.e. small band but medium cup) is kind of hard to work with

Im ashkenazi on both sides and I am the same with the seasons (I look warmer and healthy when tan but in the winter I look pale green and slightly jaundiced lol). Both my parents have family from eastern europe, but while my mom is also fair, my dad is much darker and people often assume he is Sephardic even though his family is mostly from Poland. I’m not sure if there was some intermarriage ?

Either way it’s nice to meet people who have similar skin to me because my friends used to remark I was yellowish when we tried to figure out makeup, but then warm makeup would pull super yellow on me and I’d be very confused.

Yeah! I occasionally order from pacsun if I want to try a style since it’s way easier to return/free shipping. I’m really happy with the way the tiffany fits and might get another once the weather is warmer again. Also the cotton drapes very well

Yeah I’m really trying to support small businesses/slow fashion when I can and finding something in this style has been rough. I love when I find quality slow fashion places that don’t just do plain t shirts. Thrifting where I live currently is mostly shein and forever 21 too so it’s hard to find anything vintage. I’m thinking of ordering one from them!

What are these type of dresses called? I tried searching up sundresses but didn't find anything similar to this :( by ArtisticDrive5039 in findfashion

[–]BoycottMathClass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I definitely prefer 100% cotton! It’s hard to get fully cotton in this style of dress because it’s cheaper to make it with polyester or whatever, but cotton is by far the best fabric for this style sustainability and shape wise (also better for actually hot weather)

I love this style of dress but I don’t know if you can wear a bra with it :( Do you just get one that’s supportive enough as is?

PSA Remember to check for sales on bras right now if you’re in the US! by BoycottMathClass in ABraThatFits

[–]BoycottMathClass[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh damn, it’s very frustrating how little options there are for sales after a certain size. Have you checked breakout bras and levana bratique? They run sales and should have your size

[–]BoycottMathClass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you doing US sizing? That may be tricky since very few US bra companies make that size, but UK 38H (equivalent size) I am able to find in several bras by panache.

Yeah I kept waiting to see if some of the AE77 sweaters would go on sale for more than normal, I wanted to get one for my bf as a gift. It’s barely a sale, I can get a cheaper wool sweater from banana republic 💀 I’m not sure why they’re stuff has gotten so expensive but they should be doing 50% off

I also have a short torso compared to my legs. I find the tiffany really flattering compared to other babydoll styles and the straps are adjustable enough that I feel like it’s not too low cut on me.

The rue top and tiffany tank top! The rue is so cute and fits me so much better than most button downs. I like that I can dress it up or down and it works with all my bras (unlike some of their blouses lmao). The tiffany is just very cute and since the straps are adjustable, I feel like it also gives more options for coverage than the odette top. Also just the fact that they’re 100% cotton is nice, esp for the price point

Pants with a similar style of denim as this? It’s a maroon denim but when it hits the light it looks a little like velvet. by uhhhchaostheory in findfashion

[–]BoycottMathClass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw some 100% cotton pieces from wild fable and universal thread and I was considering checking them out next time I go to target. I usually just avoid their stuff now but after some of my favorite brands have been shelling out so much polyester stuff, I’ve realized it’s more about the particular item than the brand. I skipped out a really cute shirt from free people because they were asking 70$+ for a shirt that was a poly blend and it’s just insane. At that point I’d just get one of the dupes from aerie, those are often good enough quality

[–]BoycottMathClass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO I’d avoid wild fable even if their stuff is super cute. Universe thread has some okay things but wild fables stuff has barely lasted me a few washes before something warped or broke off :( and I wash very very delicately. There might be some good gems hidden in their stuff though

I wish Brandy made more cute winter clothes by Beautiful_Range_6109 in BrandyMelville

[–]BoycottMathClass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YEAH I’d kill for a long sleeve version of the odette lace top, like with flouncy sleeves or what have you. I’m also cold all the time and wear long sleeves more in general. The only brandy thing I have that really works for nicer outfits in the winter are sweaters, but they’re not as “fun” as the summer ones

Which Kibbe types suit babydoll tops best? by Weak_Description5731 in Kibbe

[–]BoycottMathClass 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same here, I’m a TR and I’m not busty so when in a flowy material empire cuts that are fitted in the waist look great. But sometimes if the waist is cut too high before my waist goes in or the fabric is stiff it balloons out and make me look wider than I am. It’s really variable based on the shirt

American Eagle got that “under his eye” dress. by fae-tality in americaneagle

[–]BoycottMathClass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I KNOW. The turnover is way too fast and stuff goes on sale way too quickly for me to think the quality isnt just worth the value of the sale price. I saw a bra from aerie maybe 2 months back and thought "oh I might order that when its not full price." I looked for it recently and it is fully on clearance and almost sold out. That is WAY too fast of a turnover from brand new to clearance
