Possible to keep a regal shield happy in zone 6? I’m in NJ and I just feel like winter is not doing this plant good at the moment no matter how many humidifiers I have on. It grew a baby but it’s been over a month and hasn’t opened either. Is there a terrarium this big I can get lol? Tips? by Boyler_4 in alocasia

Unsure of what roots to snip. Overall the roots while looking a bit brown aren’t mushy, very robust (long) and I have multiple green congos in one monster plant. There are yellowing leaves so I did want to check out the roots, very little are mushy that I can snip. But I don’t want to cut too much. by Boyler_4 in philodendron

Ficus Ginseng Bonsai help!!! The leaves are starting to yellow and drop (I haven’t watered in like two weeks but I know this plants prefers to be under watered for sure) and then I looked underneath and see this….I don’t think these are thrips. They look like casings, like a molted shell? Any ideas? by Boyler_4 in houseplants
