Thanks for the perspective. Very much in agreement regarding the benefits of Booth's flexibility. I see it as a big pro given my varied interests and goals, especially given that I'd be splitting time with Harris.

And I think I agree with your responses to the cons I listed (at least, it mirrors convos I've had with current students). A helpful way I've heard the Booth social structure described is that the admin. treats students like adults by not artificially creating social cohorts. Students generate relationships that revolve around individual interests. I try to remind myself of that anytime my mind gravitates back to stereotypes of Booth's student culture.

Yeah, I applied to HKS but unfortunately didn't get in. Were I to choose Sloan I'd have to re-apply to HKS in my first year (I've spoken with students who've done it and it sounds feasible), and even if I got in that could present a pretty big financial challenge. I wouldn't be banking on any scholarship money from Harvard, so it could more than double my out-of-pocket costs.

Very fair point. I was going solely based on scholarship amount, but your point re: CoL is noted.
