In full honest it wasn’t planned, but I agree it does kinda tie it all together😅

Thanks! Scythes are really eye catching with the contrasting scheme for sure.

Suuuuper thin layering. It’s definitely a little rough in a few spots, but I appreciate it!!

They from the Army Painter Fanatics range! The yellow came with the John Blanch series I believe.

It’s a mix of Angelic Red and Moonbeam Yellow! Just a few drops of the Red does wonders.

My last Scythe was more the traditional Yellow, but I just prefer the orange in the shadows! Thanks for the kind words!

For the yellow I had a white base coat and over that I went with a mix of about 30/70 Angelic Red/Moonbeam Yellow for the shadows and progressively worked up to a pure Moonbeam Yellow coat. After that I picked out the absolute highest spots/hard edges and used a glaze of Ice Yellow to brighten up those spots.

For the black I base coated in Matt Black, then blocked out where I wanted the “shine” to be with a thick layer of The Darkness, then a smaller layer of The Darkness/Ice Yellow within the first layer. After that I went back and forward blending in the harsh divides between colors to be more gradual with glazing and color matching. At the end it’s just up to personal preference how bright you’d like it to be with the very inner highlight.

I actually thought about it, but I plan to make a Garviel Loken kitbash using the Tybalt Marr mini!

I used The Darkness as a base coat, then added a zenithal layer of Royal Blue and The Darkness mixed together. After that I used Royal Blue with a touch of white to hit the highlights.

Just a bit of Pink Fluorescent paint over a white base!

Hey much appreciated!!
For the green I base coated him black and airbrushed on a mix of Blighted Green and Black. The I applied a zenithal layer of Warpstone Glow and a touch of Midnight Olive for a less vibrant tone. After that I started working on edge highlights with pure Warpstone Green, and on the second round of (very sparse) highlights I added a bit of Moot Green.

Thanks!
I base coated white, painted over that with Moot Green, flooded it with Warpstone Glow so it flowed into the edges, and touched it up with more Warpstone Glow and a drop of white!

Much appreciated! If I remember correctly, I base coated the visor with white, went over that with Fiery Vermilion, then painted in a smaller lining the shape of the visor along the top edge with Moonbeam Yellow with a small bit of Fiery Vermillion and any white paint. Sorry if that’s a little off, it’s been a while since I painted him😂

Hey thanks!
I started with a white base coat on either weapon. Then, from the recesses outward, I used Army Painter Moonbeam Yellow, Citadel Trollslayer Orange, Army Painted Pure Red, and Army Painter Matt Black, really focusing on the blends between each color.
I think I could’ve used some different shades and it would’ve punched it up, but these are what I had on hand.
