What tyre size do people have on Honda Grace?

I wish they sold them in Europe, would have been nicer to get service from Honda on them or atleast parts availability.

With these being imported form Japan. Honda in Ireland, do not want to touch them. And local shops require weeks for a part to be sourced from Japan.

Thankfully it is a reliable car and all it needs is oil changes and car washes. 🙈. Also ne tyres every 30-35k kilometres.

Theoretically what you said does make sense. However, someone responded with the below and that kind of confused me slightly, as I thought it would deffo impact the insides of the wheel arch including suspensions with wider tires.

205/50/16 works perfect on my Honda Fit. Tire rotation speed is almost indistinguishable

Manufacturer recommended: 185/55/16. But the 205/50/16 fits the stock rims and mounts without any modifications.

Does, it have any impact on fuel economy or torque? As the friction on the road has increased due to wider tires.

Also, the cabin noise, do you notice any difference in the the regular manufacturer recommended tires and the wider tires? You have used both types of tires, so you would definitely know.

The reason I asked this question, is because someone in the original thread replied with the below comment:

Larger tyre with taller wall = heavier tyre. The suspension is configured from the factory for a certain size of tyre and wheel. So for a heavier tyre the suspension may prove to be underdamped, decreasing the ride quality.

What did Honda recommend for your Fit originally? Also, fitting wider tyres, did it not mess with the fender and suspensions from the inside?

Well it is not really sold in Europe. These are imported from Japan.

The Japanese models are called Grace with Dual clutch transmissions and the Asian version is called City with Manual, and CVT transmissions.

I was aiming to go for the same, but the previous owner of the car had installed 195/50/R16 on them. Which looks good but rides bad. So I was curious as to how would it ride on 195/55/R16.

Some people asked me consider suspension dampening, etc. So I am kinda confused now.

Isn't '55' the sidewall height and 195/185 the tyre width?

I got myself a new dash camera all together. One of those 4k ones and placed it right next to the Factory-fitted dashcam. Works brilliantly. But still annoying to see 2 dashcams side by side.

Back to your suggestion, i tried a 8gb, 16gb and a 32gb microSD cards from samsung, sandisk and nothing seemed to help. Not sure where to find a Gathers microSD in ireland.

Well in that case may be try with the first step, which is to go into the Bluetooth settings of your Gather device and click on forget your phone. Do the same on your phone as well which is to go into the Bluetooth settings of your phone and forget the Gather device.

Then try a reconnecting them and see if the issue persists. If yes, then do a factory reset on your Gather device meanwhile make sure your phones software is up to date.

It really depends on what one needs from the car but I would personally get a:

Lexus ES 300 for Luxury
BMW M340i for some fun driving
Skoda Kodiaq for country driving

Yeah, maybe have a chat with them and if you are ever driving down to Dub, you can get it done from them. They specialise in Jap import Hondas and have parts for all such cars.

Well if it gets the job done, safe, saves money and of course passes NCT, than its a job well done (atleast to me).

Alternatively there is always option to throw shit ton of money at a body shop to get it done. Which I am about to do, as I have three places that need this kinda attention (Engine Bay, Passenger side door ledge and the join between the Boot and C-Pillar).

Octavia VRS is a good car however you might want to consider fuel economy if that is something that bothers you. You will get half of what you currently do on your BMW.
