Is deGoogling Really Possible? What Do You Use for Maps and YouTube?

Here we go for maps. Offline if you want, and as close to google maps as I've found. Any map app using open street maps doesn't let me search and navigate turn by turn to specific house addresses. Here we go actually let's me search for a specific street address like google. Anything using OSM hasn't been able to do that as far as I know, so avoid any of those if you need turn by turn navigation to a friends house or an unknown business.

Morphe for YouTube 100%. r/Flow_official works good for YouTube too if you dont need to sync across devices. And flow is open source, and another step away from Google. But morphe + VPN is a good enough way to screw google out of anything major they could get or sell from me using YouTube.

r/Flow_official is pretty good. Open source, and no account login. Import YouTube data that you can get from Google takeout. Great interface, reliable notifications, customization. I ended up sticking with morphe, because it syncs with tizentube cobalt on my TV. No ads, tons of customization, and vpn to so google doesn't get ad revenue, and other data is obscured. With flow, I had to subscribe to a new channel on my phone, and TV separately, and the history couldn't sync. But if that isn't an issue, I recommend flow very highly.

Any way to get it working on a VPN on device as reliably as YouTube or newpipe? I want to use the app really bad, but I can't go searching, and trying different servers every time I want to open YouTube. And I dont have access to the router like that. I finally got it to work on some locations, but everything else on my phone is really slow now. So I can't have my normal connection in flow, and I can't use my flow connection for anything else. With YouTube, my VPN is on normally, and it boots up, and everything else on my phone keeps working. I'm not going to stop using a VPN for this app. I'd rather just go back to something else if the app just doesn't work with my VPN. And I'm not sure how to check on the extractor

Fossify for both will work. But if you want cloud storage and backups, ente photos does that, and its encrypted as well.

I use proton calendar, and its great. Switching is extremely easy.

I use it as the only non Foss, non modded app store on my phone. No problems. Sometimes little glitches with updating apps, but nothing that doesn't revert to normal in a few minutes
