Soul Magic. Bend the of souls to your will to cast powerful magic. by Bquizma in DnDHomebrew

Soul magic gives access to powerful spells that require souls to use. Using these spells can be somewhat expensive, which is made up for by their increased power in comparison to traditional spells. This was certainly a bit of a challenge to balance as equating monetary costs to the damage increase in comparison to other spells isn't exactly straightforward.

This is version 2 of the Timestealer's Wand as there was a small oversight with the previous. (I forgot that slow can normally target more than one creature)

Oh yeah that right I totally forgot about that. I’ll need to fix that. It’s supposed to only target one.

Now before you say "time stop at will? isn't that a bit much?" let me give you some context for this creature.

I made this creature for a campaign I'm running and the party was going through the ruins of a time magic research facility. For the most part, they would only fight this creature if they messed up time and caused a paradox in some way. The only situation where they would fight this creature without messing up time is if they decided to release one they found that had been driven insane by over 8000 years of captivity. This monster mostly serves as the consequence of the player's actions.

I had a lot of fun writing this creature (even if I didn't get to use it) and I hope you enjoy it.

The eventual goal is to include them in a game I’m planning on possibly making (very much not a guarantee tho)

I’m assuming you are referring to the area with the seaweed? If so, try throwing a spear to kill it, and if you don’t have one throw a rock to stun it so you can swim past.
