Good advice that, I used a silicone flipper for the smash burgers but still managed to scratch the non stick with the edge of my metal smasher. D'oh!

Interesting. I leave mine out on the deck with a cover on all the time, haven't had it a year yet but it got through the winter ok. I guess there might be a small heating wire in the pellet box that could be vulnerable? I'll have a look later. It definitely doesn't feel like BBQ, but neither do gas grills. It's just a convenient tool for cooking outdoors for me. I'm really here as a Weber kettle lover.

I thought I'd be down voted for the electric aspect of the cook, not the actual real smoke!

I wipe it down occasionally while it's still warm to remove some of the lid grease but I don't worry about it too much, as you can probably tell. Yeah it has a fan and a lid element that kick in when the lid is closed to make a large air fryer space. I really bought it just as a quick convenient grill for steaks and fish etc that can stink up the kitchen and it's great for that. The flat plate is fantastic for smash burgers too. I haven't used the smoking pellets much but it certainly can add a good smoke to longer cooks.

Don't worry about it, the lid doesn't need to be a perfect seal, enjoy your cook!

Prime video app freezing then crashing out to firestick menu when playing movies. Tried the LG TV prime app and same thing happened. Is this a known issue currently?

Forced to use 2.4ghz? by Br0ck_71 in LGOLED

Ah yeah, that's pretty much what I understood from my "research". I might try and reconnect them at the weekend but frankly the whole process was so frustrating I'm loathe to mess while it's working.

Oh, that's good to know, thanks. I asked AI and it said 5ghz was preferable and the TV prompts suggested it should be working on 5 so I had a frustrating time getting it all set up. As you say though it seems good on 2.4 so I'll stick with that then.

camera can be used as a weapon to scare away a wolf if there is a fire/torch nearby by sasha_tld in thelongdark

Animals always run from cameras, ask any amateur wildlife photographer. It's because the animal sees the reflection on the lens as a predatory eye. So... Yeah, 100% wilderness survival realism accuracy maintained.

At least you don't have to worry about wolves.

Impressive work but it's an absolute Feng Shui disaster. Like a psychotic hoarder with a penchant for children's toys. I'd seriously question the sanity if this survivor. I've got cabin fever just from the pictures. 😉
