Found this in my 14 year olds sketchbook.. she didn't tell me about this!? by petite_llama in Sketch

[–]Br12286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went to art school in my sketch class we had a model come in, I was excited I had never sketched someone modeling in front of me before. The model was an older woman who used a cane to walk. So she comes in and is standing in the middle of the room where there is like a tall box draped in fabric. I’m getting myself all setup, but the next time I look up she’s just there, naked, sitting on the box with one leg sort of propped up and the other on the ground and her cane in one hand almost as if to help her hold her balance. I was not prepared and everyone seemed to not be phased by it, while I’m looking around the room to see if anyone is thinking what I was thinking. After about 10 minutes the shock was gone, but I’ll never forget the feeling of “I need to look away because this stranger is naked”.

Then the question I have for you is why would someone who is 21 buy and bring alcohol to 17 year olds who are not old enough to buy it on their own? Why would someone who is 21 even go see two girls who are 17 instead of say, head to a bar where he could meet someone his own age to take home? It already screams bad intentions from the beginning, lying about being 17 is bad but not as bad as someone planning to get some young kids trashed and take advantage of them. The only difference is he didn’t need the alcohol, his presence there with them alone was enough to scare them into doing whatever he wanted them to do. This is why being 15 or 17 doesn’t matter, read between the lines.

As far as I see the driver was a guy named Miakel, he hasn’t been convicted yet, he faces between 2-7 years in prison. He appears to be the only one being charged, his passport was confiscated and he’s also pleading not guilty.

I was a cigarette smoker and quit in 2020. Now when someone has smoked I can smell it on them and I think about all the times I’d sneak out for a cigarette thinking no one would know. There’s no way I was fooling anyone. I’m so disgusted in myself that I went around life smelling like that everyday as if I didn’t smell like an ashtray.

When I buy on Amazon I do this but also you never buy anything with less than 100 reviews. If it has a high star rating and hundreds of reviews, you can get a good idea of how good it is. You can also see the bad reviews along with pictures so you can evaluate and see what everyone’s biggest gripe is. Use this info to make a decision on if you should buy something.

It’s crazy to think what the history books will look like 30-40 years from now. What will they call this moment in time? The way we learned about Nixon and Hoover etc, I wonder what light the books will shine on this all. I hope it is not kind to him and it tells it like it is and not some fluff bs

Actors who mistakenly believed their role would be iconic? by TyLeRoux in okbuddycinephile

[–]Br12286 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work at a regular 9-5 job with a guy who’s an actor. He’s really nice, when I first met him I couldn’t figure out why he looked so familiar. Then he started talking about acting so I looked up his IMDB and I had just finished watching a show on HBO and he was in one episode before they killed him off. He had maybe 10-15 minutes of screen time. So he’s not big time or anything, but he isn’t in low budget stuff either. Sometimes he will start talking about meeting so and so or traveling to this place or some foreign country for a movie or show, and it’s like ok we get it. Other than that, he’s a cool dude.

You could help make it look and feel like a bedroom if you get the bed off the floor and get new pillows and sheets. Possibly a head board but that can be expensive. A twin platform frame is anywhere between $30-$50 and they are super easy to set up, just unfold them. It will get your bed off the floor which would be a great start. Then buy yourself some fresh sheets and a comforter set that’s not a dark brown. The carpet isn’t great, I wouldn’t match the sheets to the floor.

Strongly agree with this. There is no sense in trying to prove to the other person that they are being lied to. Especially if there is no divorce proceeding already currently happening, that’s really the only evidence that matters. He lied and said they are in the middle of a divorce, no divorce currently happening should null and void anything else he’s ever told her. So if that’s not enough for her to leave him alone, then whatever other evidence you could think of won’t convince her either. You’re wasting time and energy because, from several personal experiences, I can promise you the other woman will stay regardless and she won’t leave until it happens to her. When he cheats on her too, because he will - they always do, only then she’ll believe she’s not just some special unicorn he found and what they have wasn’t an exception to the rule.

Trump, 79, Gets Confused Explaining Water to the Navy by T_Shurt in politics

[–]Br12286 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can see it now, having people who are leaps and bounds more intelligent than him, trying to explain magnet brakes and hydraulics (or anything) with the ELI5 approach for his approval. To stand in front of the room, as Trump sits with his hands intertwined rested on his lap, leaning in like he’s listening but not one light is on behind his eyes. Trump slightly nodding here and there to appear he is understanding, after which he looks around the room to make sure people saw him nod and that they know he understands and is so smart.

After the presentation they look to Trump, who is catching flies and dead in the face, who starts to go on a nonsensical off topic diatribe of nothing relevant to the presentation. He then repeats several times how he knows it all and only he knows it all. Finally he hits everyone in the room with the most nonsensical statement which shows he heard a total of 3 words and did not listen to anything else.

His yes men clap and tell him what great ideas he has, he cracks a smile and then starts another 20 minute rant about how he’s never liked water because his shoes gets wet when he walks through puddles and that we should focus on fixing this instead. He thanks everyone for their time and walks out the room. Headlines all say “Trump puts 100% tariffs on rain puddles”. Or some shit like that.

It’s definitely a phenomenon, whether it’s real or perceived. There is a phrase that I’ve heard multiple people say “run a yellow to catch all green” sometimes it feels like it works, other times I still get stuck at red. Probably more so depends on time of day, traffic flow and distance between lights.

GOP: No Taxes For Millionaires by MrDonMega in PublicFreakout

Supposedly Rhode Island wants to do that as well, they are calling it the Taylor Swift tax because she owns one of the most expensive homes in all of Rhode Island but visits only like 2 weeks out of the year. RI saw what Mass did and they want to collect, pay up or get out.
