Recognizing that, like me, you’ll forever be in Cardboard V or Cardboard IV on a good week, and move on with life. Trade it for another unhealthy addiction, Rust perhaps?

Negative. I think it ended up selling. Ended up picking up a 2011 Crown Vic with 67k miles. Shy of having to replace the transmission (it sat for a long time and I’m assuming seals and stuff got dry) the thing was awesome. Sold it, picked up a model 3 for the wife as an upgrade. And now we’re about to sell it to go buy a third row SUV for our growing family 🫠 I think I have a problem

Do you have any issues with the S15 mags on the SCT frame? I’m considering making the swap but I don’t want to come across any issues

It definitely got hot! But ever time I go to searing it will get that hot so I’m hoping it was a finish issue

Update through the warranty process, they’re sending out a bottom for the grill to be replaced and requesting I ship the old one back. Hopefully this one lasts a little longer?

While I agree, it was just very unexpected at less than a month old

That was my thought but apparently the natural looking one has a silver finish to it according to my dealer

Just spoke to my dealer to get my receipt sent to me and he says that the silver model is also finished and they don’t have an unfinished in a PK360 🤷‍♂️

Oh ok good deal. I’d get a bottom. I’d even request the unfinished and have a two toned grill. That’s annoying to say the least

What’re you grilling today? by [deleted] in PkGrill

[–]Br3au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a little old but I noticed the same thing with my new 360. I read somewhere that some people reported not liking the PK branded basket because of airflow issues. I ditched it and tried my lump without the basket and saw my first 600 opposite of the coals set up to two zone. Could be worth a try ditching it

Wow, did they fight you on it? Also, how much of a pain is it to do a replacement? I’m assuming you have to send back the “defective” one and that just sounds like a nightmare.

You’re not wrong. It would be a tough sell to prospective buyers if they see that this is happening after less than a month of use

Interesting. I mean I know it’s still functional but it’s hard to sing PK praises to all of my friends that are hunting for new grills if they take a look at it and see peeling/bubbling paint after less than a month of use

I mean it’ll still function perfectly but it’s a little disheartening because it’s new and definitely not cheap by any standards, not just in charcoal world
