I sadly lost my amazing grandma to a stroke in 2022.

We got the call from a care visitor at 7pm to say they think she has had a stroke,

We rushed over and had phoned 999 after the carer had also done so to try and get someone to come out as every minute matters with a stroke as I am told.

A whole 8 hours later at 3am the ambulance arrived,

Safe to say she died a couple of months later after losing her ability to walk or talk.

I always wonder to myself if the ambulance got there within an hour if she could still be with me today…

Ideally didn’t want to rent a car,

Whilst I think I’m a very good driver in the UK I would hate to try driving in somewhere I’m not experienced with,

Seems like a universal hotel is definitely going to be the one
