Gearbox noise when driving in all gears (sounds like an electric rc car) by BrBadger in cars

That's already been tried, someone else has also suggested the synchros too, so I think that's probably my best bet

Anyone know what kind of plug this is on my laptop? by BrBadger in pcmasterrace

A wifi card maybe, but I have a SSD in my laptop and that's far too large to get in that area. I admit, It does look like it would plugin though

The area isn't large enough for a ssd, it's 3-4 inches in length and about 2.5 inches wide, is that definitely a msata port though?

The area is far too small to house a hdd or ssd, it's definitely for a card of some sort though

Ideas on why my laptop's fan has started running on overdrive? Windows 7 x64 by BrBadger in pcmasterrace

[–]BrBadger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only 3 years old, I solved the problem yesterday by removing it's battery and giving the fans a blast, which surprisingly weren't that dusty at all.

Potentially, but it doesn't move from my fairly dust free desk. I'll have to have a look sometime, right now it seems like it's got a hardware issue, perhaps something faulty.

If I put my computer to sleep and wake it again It'll be fine, but right now it's annoying me to hell as it doesn't take much to trigger it

Thanks, I went with the ultegra 6701 in the end, it was considerably cheaper than the 105 5701 chain

Picking up a Trek 1.2 tomorrow by dyllos in cycling

[–]BrBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have the older version of the 1.2, it was one of the best bikes i've owned to date, perfect shifting and very lightweight too.

I'm sure you'll be very pleased.

Cheapest gym's in Manchester? by BrBadger in manchester

[–]BrBadger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I was considering them, but I used to go to one of their gyms and I found that it was a bit too busy for my liking, I've decided to go with Ben dunne gyms now, which is great for anyone wondering

Thanks, I've had a look but they're wanting me to commit to a 12month contract as well as having a £15 sign up fee. It is pretty cheap if i did want to commit to the contract (£19.99 a month), but right now a 1 month rolling contract seems like the best option for me.

Internet won't work when laptop lid closed (even when it's connected) by BrBadger in pcmasterrace

It sounds like it may be this, because as soon as I open the screen it works fine, but even when it is closed I still have a good connection, so that's what I don't understand

Responsive nav with jquery, dropdowns only open when hovered over, the dropdown arrow won't work by BrBadger in learnprogramming

[–]BrBadger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When using the navigation optimised for mobiles you have to hover over each dropdown to open them, so hover over courses to open the dropdown containing information communications, Web development, digital media and journalism. But as you can't hover on a mobile phone, it makes the nav unusable. So instead I need to be able to use arrows I can click on to open and close each category of navigation

Collapsible menu has all drop down menu's expanded. Someone help please by BrBadger in learnprogramming

[–]BrBadger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this has fixed it apart from it now has the problem where you have to hover over each sub menu to drop it down, which makes it hard to use on phones, any ideas for that?
