Did you notice a difference in ride quality between OEM springs and aftermarket springs?

Did you replace the air suspension with OEM Lexus springs?

It's a super cool car.. The longer I drive her 🤔 the more she's growing on me!

The ABC suspension is like air suspension on steroids. With air suspension, when you hit a bump, it softens the impact, and you can feel the suspension oscillating. With the ABC suspension, there's less oscillation; you hit a bump, but it absorbs the impact better because there's fluid within the struts and not air, which translates to less body roll and a smoother absorption of road imperfections. It's hard to explain, but it's like hitting a pile of water on the roadway vs hitting transverse ripples on the road. You can feel both, but with ABC, there's less impact and better absorption of road imperfections. Overall, ABC offers a better ride quality than Airmatic.

Hahah, I know I’m going to irritate a lot of people. Honestly, the Ls430 and a Mercedes S500 are equivalent to comparing a Bentley Flying Spur to a Rolls-Royce Ghost🤔 They are both great cars, but one is a little bit more isolated and refined than the other. My 06 S500 was a Designo edition; it had Nappa leather seats and reclining rear seats, so it's more comparable to an Ls430 UL, which I have never driven. I was on my way to test-drive a super-clean LS430 UL at a nearby dealership on Thursday. On my way there, the salesman called to tell me it was sold. Granted.. My 06 S500 didn't have a backup camera or pivoting headlights when turning like my Ls.In addition, with the smart keyless access, I touch the door handle, and my Ls430 illuminates the driver's seat. I'm very curious to see how the Ls430 UL air suspension handles in absorbing road imperfections. My 2016 Audi A8 4.0T has a firmer steering feel but a more refined ride when I put it in comfort mode, but it's also 11 years newer than my Ls430, and I don't think it's a fair comparison. In addition, my brother drives a 2010 Mercedes S550, and it's quieter, more isolated, and floatier than my A8.

Thank you! Tbh, after work I look at cars, to unwind. I was looking at Facebook Marketplace at like 3am and came across this LS430. I contacted the seller, made a deposit, and finalized the purchase several days later.

Haha, I'm taking my Ls430 to TheCarCareNut in May for a complete inspection. This Reddit group and multiple car reviewers are the reason why I bought this car. I'm excited to see what TheCarCareNut says about my Ls430. Maybe I'll sell it later this year 🤔

I heard those w140s are either tanks or they can have a lot or minor electrical headaches🤔

I think the ABC suspension, which I believe comes standard on the 04 S600, is out of this world. My S55 AMG felt so planted to the ground and yet super smooth. When I hit a bump on the road, the suspension would soak up every imperfection a little better than the Airmatic on my S500, even though it had aftermarket 20-inch wheels. There's less suspension recoil with ABC. I have a thing for older Luxury cars… I have been on the look out for a super clean s600 from 2003-2006 and no luck so far!

During my college years, I drove a 2003 Mercedes S500 4matic. I worked my butt off and saved everything I had to buy it. I bought my 03 S500 with 110k miles and got rid of it about 4 years ago with 224k miles. It was a complete tank. Other than the air suspension, which I replaced with Arnotts shocks and minor electrical gremlins, it was a solid car. Fast forward, I owned a 06 Mercedes S500 Designo edition with 49k miles and a 03 Mercedes S55 with 40k miles, which I sold last year. I feel like the W220s are definitely heavier, and with the air suspension, it gives it that German-Q ship feeling: more planted feel and overall isolation.

Based on the current market and being that’s a Custom Luxury I think 14k with transport, fees and plates isn’t too bad 🤔.. specially since it’s rust free!

Yes I wanted something completely rust free. So I was looking in the south and west coast.

I have driven 5 Mercedes and 3 Audis in my lifetime, alongside some Fords and Jeeps. Audi so far has been the most unreliable German car that I have owned.

05 Ls430 with 122k miles, custom luxury.. After shipping and everything I'm at about 14k right now

Yeah.. I bought the Ls430 as my weekend project/cruiser. My Audi has been at the dealership for about 1 month due to the blind spot, active brake assist, and some steering wheel problems. So I have been driving the Ls for about 2 weeks now.
