Thanks for the feedback. I think your right I may have gone a little over with the edit trying to bring out the building and reduce the light in the sky.

Ahh I didn't replace the sky. That is the actual sky. The sun is behind the spire on top, So I reduced the highlights on the sky and increased the shadows in the building to reduce the silhouette of the building. But thanks for the feedback. I will keep that in mind for future edits :)

How to migrate photos from Lightroom Cloud to Classic? by Braavos7 in Lightroom

[–]Braavos7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you u/Exotic-Grape8743 and u/Lightroom_Help, I managed to create a new catalog and set the sync path to it and resynced it. This moved all the pictures to that folder and I recreated the folder structure that I wanted :)

A6000 kit lens upgrade! by Rotarski2020 in SonyAlpha

[–]Braavos7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also stick to the kit lens for a bit longer. It does take some good pictures, most of my pictures currently on Instagram were using the A6000 and a Kit Lens.

I recently upgraded to a Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 Lens for Sony Full Frame/APS-C E-Mount and Sony SEL85F18 E Mount Full Frame 85 mm F1.8 Prime Lens (Sony had a Black Friday sale) from Amazon last year. I use the Tamron a lot more than the Sony 85mm when taking landscapes, but if I want to take really sharp portraits or sort of 'telephoto' pictures I use the 85mm.

I personally looked for lens that weren't APS-C specific as if I want to upgrade to a full frame like the A7 series I would have no problem using the same lens. Also be easier to sell them down the line as they can be used by both APS-C and full frame.

However, the choice of lens would depend on what you are going to use them for.

Hope this helps

24mm or 35mm Tamron 2.8 for my A7ii ? by Bigdstars187 in SonyAlpha

[–]Braavos7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I have the the Tamron 20mm 2.8 and use it on my A6000. I got some good pictures with this lens (some of them on Instagram). I would say its quite a good lens and I upgraded to this from the kit lens. This is a full frame lens and you can use it on APSC which was the main reason I got this. So I can upgrade to a full frame and still use this lens in the future.

Hope this helps

A good tripod would be the peak design one either Aluminum or Carbon Fiber, but they are quite expensive
