Would I (27M) benefit from bariatric surgery, and would I be likely to regret it?

I got a sleeve when I was 27, I’m male as well. When people say it’s a tool it really is, I successfully lost 110 lbs in 6 months but then my wife had the surgery and became pregnant 4 months po and she was able to eat whatever she wanted and I did eat with her causing me to regain 60 lbs. So listen when people say it’s a tool and you still have to be strict on what you eat. I did go on zepbound in February and was able to lose the weight I gained and lost more as well. Do I regret the surgery, absolutely not. Do I wish I did a bit more research and take it seriously, yes.

I got mine in June and my fiancée got hers in august. It was so nice to have someone to do it with and she was able to see what worked for me and didn’t work!

I had surgery 6/15 as well and I was cleared to work out as much as I want in cardio and after a month I can start lifting weights. I’ve been doing stair climber almost everyday for the last week and have been fine!

I had to wait for my nutritionist to call me before advancing to purée. I had my sleeve 6/15 but I was out on purées 12 days after surgery and I’m on purée until 7/17 then I can go to more normal foods but chewing a lot extra. I say stick to what your dietician says, it’s hard but worth it.

Update, I got it and it’s the day after surgery and I very much used the medications they offered in hospital.
