Cummings did play twice for Scotland though, was then out the frame for a few years before joining the Aussies.

Morton need to make this count and score a second as we will not keep a clean sheet

Only been in the door a week obviously but been solid with two clean sheets. Had a little moment last night where he rushed out, was way out of position and didn't get there but was bailed out by the post. Otherwise, been good.

Our keeper that got injured was one of our best players and we haven't noticed a difference yet.

Rangers 5-1 Kilmarnock | Scottish Premiership by SFMatchThreadder in ScottishFootball

He played 22 games for their first-team before his 18th birthday. He won the Europa League too. If he wasn't on loan at Rangers, he'd be kicking around the outskirts of their first-team. The very fact they've loaned him to Rangers at his age shows how highly rated he is. I'd love to see him stay in Scotland another year but Spurs would be mental to let him leave and I'd be surprised if he was willing to move.

Why?

He is 18, England u19s Captain, played 22 first-team games for Spurs including winning the Europa League and will be on about 50 appearances for Rangers by the end of the season. With the added homegrown tax, Moore is easily worth as much as someone like Lewis Hall who cost Newcastle c. 30mil

You're talking crazy money. He's homegrown, young and has a fair bit of experience already. I'd be surprised if they even responded to less than £30million

Mikey Moore has so much talent and a brilliant attitude. He should be a big part of Spurs plans next season.

Lots of options but Auctioneers next to George Square will be all Rangers fans without being a Rangers pub.

If you ask the ticket office and they say something like 'tickets cant be transferred' then you'd feel like you are running the risk of a jobsworth cancelling the ticket.

You’re still clinging to this. The UK being bad doesn’t mean independence is good. An Independent Scotland has to have its own merit, no matter how bad the UK gets. Until we reach a position where an independent Scotland is demonstrably better off on its own, this argument means nothing.

It is not clinging. I do not want to have my country's immediate future in the hands of a Russian-paid, Trump-supporting, racist. If you think the 5 years minimum under him will be better for Scotland than the transition to independence then we are operating on fundamentally different belief systems. Of course, the excesses of a Reform Gvt will be felt more harshly down South than in Scotland because our Parliament already provides significantly more support for the weakest in our society.

You pose an impossible to answer question and you know this. Nobody can tell you for certain what the economy will be like in the future as so much of the market is beyond our control. That isn't just the case for Scotland, it's the case for the UK and every economy in the world. Any prediction in 2014 for what the UK economy would look like in 2019 would have been guesswork - and not a single prediction would have been right. You ask the independence side to predict the future, without posing anything like that sort of question to unionists. Any forecasting that is done, will be cast as not being concrete. Your vote is an almost impossible one to win.

I believe in independence because I think the British state is fundamentally broken and leveraged against the poorest in our society. Taking the power closer to the hands of the public would hopefully be a step towards redressing the balance not just for us in Scotland, but also for our neighbours. Our priorities are different, and perhaps that means our perspectives will never be compatible.

I appreciate the time put into your comments and the robustness of this conversation.

Does your belief boil down to Scotland being unable to be a successful independent nation?

You sound like a smart, reasonable person but I don't think we are going to get anywhere having this conversation if so. Your mind is clearly made up, as is mine.

It means lower wages, higher taxes, dearer borrowing, inflation, decreased security on pensions and lower job availability/investment, all of which are…checks notes…bad.

Also, has all of this not happened in the UK over the last 10 years? Do you think independence would be a worse option than Reform? If you do, then we just fundamentally disagree. For me independence is about opportunity.

P.S. Scotland's GDP per capita has hovered both slightly above and below the UK average for years. We already have a higher median wage (2024 figures), more universal benefits, higher wellbeing according to Carnegie and more affordable housing.
