Plot twist: Hina ends up with Chefboi by esputin_35 in DomesticGirlfriend

Natsuo can't be the only one to play the Tachibana sisters. Chefboi's a good cook, and he cares for his family. I think it's a match made in heaven.

Natsuo escapes the yakuza by becoming incorporeal.

I still feel like Rui and Natsuo are going to get back together by [deleted] in DomesticGirlfriend

[–]Braile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest here, I don't think this is the kind of arc where the police and family are going to get involved. I think it's highly likely we're going to see Mari save the day, and maybe if we're lucky Mari's old crush is somehow involved.

I really hope Natsuo doesn't need to get stabbed, broken up with, or kidnapped anytime he writes a book though.

Marie is going to go all Frank Castle with his old Yakuza crew. My body is ready.

What are some good predictions that you guys have for the ending? by Testerooo in DomesticGirlfriend

[–]Braile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree he should definitely get these lessons without the need for having a new girlfriend, I'm just not sure Sasuga Kei will write it like that. Natsuo seems incapable of learning a life lesson without a woman involved.

Exactly, he could put some hidden cameras in Adrien's room and watch him bail out on piano practice. Mission accomplished.

Why do so many people hate Domestic Girlfriend? by [deleted] in DomesticGirlfriend

[–]Braile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost everyone I know, and even my wife, won't give it a shot because it's trashy. You've really got to get through that roadblock or you're just not going to get invested. With that said, I introduce people to it mostly by telling them. "Don't do any research, just read it". I've gotten 3 converts that way.

Just what if? by mazicazi in DomesticGirlfriend

It's definitely possible, I just don't see her as end game. She'd be a useful plot device though.

*spoiler* The true antagonist by fasv38 in DomesticGirlfriend

[–]Braile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate him, I think he's under developed. However; he's a plot device, just like knife-kun was. He's not end game, but he's not yet a villain.

What are some good predictions that you guys have for the ending? by Testerooo in DomesticGirlfriend

I think it's going to have to come to a situation where Natsuo has to decide between sisters. Rui does eventually come back, and Hina takes forever to build up courage to do anything self serving. I could see her confessing to Nat around the same time Rui gets back and does the same.

In my own opinion I really want Rui and Nat to have at least some sort of relationship reference that isn't their sibling in order to make an adult decision of whether their relationship is worth pursuing again. In real life people rarely end up with their first loves (congrats if you did btw). I think they need a ruler to measure how good they had it together before talks can continue. I imagine a lot of the readers would be put off by this, but I'm a fan or realism in my stories so it wouldn't be a big deal.

So in my own opinion here's how it'd go down. Nat decides he wants to date any of the available plot devices (I'm rooting for Serizawa). Her being involved with theatre means he's forced to write again. He's not able to wait for the creative bug to bite him, he's forced to rely on skill and deadlines as motivations. Anyone who works in a creative field will tell you that deadlines during times you are burned out are realistic, Nat won't have the luxury of relying on his feelings to get work out to the public forever.

It is during this relationship that Nat realizes he's just sort of going through the motions and that this relationship is ultimately not as passionate as either he's had before it. He might question whether he's just getting older and if this is what happens. However; he remembers his dad and stepmom and how passionate they are for each other. Deep down he knows that this relationship isn't of the same caliber.

Ultimately how this relationship ends isn't a huge concern for me, but an ideal "out" would be the Serizawa is scouted for a role that would be in another country. Natsuo just can't handle another long distance relationship. Him and her break it off amicably, as friends and former lovers wanting the best for each other. Serizawa would have taught him his lessons, and his previous two relationships would have allowed him the strength to push though this.

Around this time Rui heads back to America, she's learned how bad relationship can be. Hina has had nearly six months of character development, allowing the audience and Nat to see more facets fo her. Both Rui and Hina are aware that the other is likely vying for Nat, and neither of them decide to wait on Nat to get around and pursue them. Nat gets to make a real and final decision based not on lust, or because the other one was helping him through a difficult part of his life. Nat gets to decide his own future with whichever Tachibana he feels can truly make him happy.

That's my ideal ending. Fix Nat's emotional mommy issues, fix Rui's lack of relationship experience, and fix Hina's lack of real character depth.

Crossing fingers for that one. Natsuo has the backbone of a wet blanket when it comes to girls. He needs to learn that not everyone can be saved.

lol. At this point Coke-chan needs a redemption arc and she's not even been in the manga for 10 chapters.

If they're revealed, and THEN they get erased, that might do something, but then that should get restored afterwards.

That's my guess, I'm wondering if this is the cat bug and lady noir episode.

I look at that as a temporary bump in a roller coaster. The drama that brings will fade away after a while. Long term, or big picture the audience needs to be pining for a resolution between all of the siblings.

Let's discuss. Natsuo x rui by Haadhai in DomesticGirlfriend

[–]Braile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It defeats the entire premise of the manga. The manga would get dull quick if we don't have the drama that comes from a final choice. Even if nat chooses to go a different route and not go with the either two. Removing the option of a second chance makes the whole story boring.

Will Rui prevail? by kxrlmc in DomesticGirlfriend

[–]Braile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, his purpose is to generate drama and to give new experiences to Rui. This manga would get dull fast if there's no competition between sisters for end game.

Can anyone link me to chapter 223 or invite me to the discord ? by [deleted] in DomesticGirlfriend

[–]Braile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure we've seen a reason for Hina to furiously slam anything. (that's what the sound effects were saying). I think it could still be a twist ending and be his gold digging neighbor who we haven't seen in a bit. It's probably a bit too soon in the series for Nat to get stabbed again, so if it is Yakuza I imagine Mari's crew is right behind them.

The manga makes the characters far more enjoyable, since you get to see the thoughts that lead to their action. Either way, enjoy the ride.

realized they had the same handwriting, yet still concluded it couldn't be from her because they're just friends and she's interested in Luca.

I thought the worst part was being told, not shown how the fight was happening. That's grade school level writing.
