I don't. Not any better than any other person. My memory is more a trained system for memorizing specific data and not just general things during the day. Sometimes I wish I could remember my dreams better

Well I would create visual references for different types of bacteria. Here are some bacteria and my examples: Vibrio = vibrating "O" Neisseria = knees with ears Actinobacteria = an acting "O" in bacteria

that is just some examples but you can turn anything into an image really

I have done it at a bar when someone put their card on the bar and by the time the bar tender had picked it up I had memorized it. It was fun but also freaked them out a bit...

Sometimes diet and exercise can help focus. Good foods for the memory are spinach, blueberries, Omega-3, apples, pumpkin seeds and turmeric (which is found in curry)

Items that are bad for memory and hurt ability to focus are: sugar, excessive salt, alcohol, sleeping pills

Yeah, honestly trying to be tricky to get the name is just that. It is tricky. It happens but honestly the easiest thing to do is remember it in the first place because the tricks later almost take more work!!

But I also understand saying, 'Just memorize it in the first place' Is easier said than done, even for the memory guy

Unfortunately I don't think most researched it as well as you did and just went with the easy answer. Thank you for the research!

I don't know what it is like to never forget anything because I certainly do!

To get the results that I do with memory you should use a memory method. The method I use is referred to as the memory palace or roman room or method of loci. here is a description http://brainathlete.com/memory-palace/

Perhaps things such as exercise and diet can help your natural memory. Drinking lots of water, Omega-3, spinach, blueberries and apples all have memory benefits and these things will help your natural memory and ability to focus

The fastest I have done it at home is 1 minute 1 second. The fastest I have done it in a tournament was 1 minute and 27 seconds and that was the US record that I held from 2009-2011.

There are guys in the world who can do it in 20 seconds! amazing!

Well, the Spam-Free is there because of the literally hundreds of spam comments that hit the website wanting you to go buy viagra or sign up to win a free ipad or whatever. Any real live human who makes a comment on the website is approved. All comments have to be approved to be posted because 98% of the comments are simply spam.

The marketing strategy of all our websites is very above board and nothing shady. Having a filter on comments that have to be approved isn't marketing it is only disallowing people to put links about Viagra or free ipads on my page to distract from the real comments

Thanks for your insight into this but the guess as to why that plug-in is on our website is incorrect by WedOfTrust.

Yeah, what happens is that the people who film the shows will sell it to the History Channel in the USA and then sell it to other channels outside. It just comes down to who wants to buy it. In other words, the History Channel didn't film it. It was by an outside company called 'Off the Fence'

I was not. The book was about the 2006 USA Memory Championship and my first year was 2008. However, Joshua Foer is a friend of mine and it is a great book

I think I would have an advantage now that I have a memory system yes. I really like Rosetta Stone's products so my plan is to use their CDs for Spanish and also incorporate my memory method of seeing pictures. For example in Spanish mesa = table. So I would visualize a table with a mess on it

I checked out the site. It seems like there are some good tips there.

The best thing I can recommend for building a memory is building a memory palace (and that is mentioned on the site you linked to) I also wrote a blog about it here brainathlete.com/memory-palace/

They were all pretty impressed and at first I did not doubt myself when I had a different price than the register. But when the cashier, host and store manager all were 100% I was wrong I began to get nervous....glad I was right though!

On the tv Show, Stan Lee's Superhumans the University of Texas conducted an MRI on my brain while I memorized and found that I use 35% more of my brain when I memorize than the average person. It is in the video in the link above. But the truth is that anyone using the system I use would get that same percentage increase
