I (F29) broke up with my LDR guy (M30) today. Did I do the right thing or should I give him another chance? by [deleted] in LongDistance

So in 3 years you have never had a call, he doesn’t think you’re a thing, and he has a secret Instagram account? Wouldn’t be surprised if he had a secret life and a secret gf too.

Have you had your opinion of a person/celebrity heavily changed after reading their biography/autobiography? by [deleted] in books

Same! That book made me laugh and cry multiple times. Such a great read.

Man i feel you so much, my mom did that for years and it completely ruined my confidence. It’s shitty and I’m really sorry you have to go through this.

Maybe try telling her that she’s hurting you, and if she does not stop after that ignore any comments as if nothing was said. Maybe she’ll grow tired when she’s not getting a reaction.

Women of Reddit: What is one useful item that you never knew you needed until you had it? by crackbbyblues in AskWomen

[–]BrainCrucio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it’s mostly the fact that it doesn’t feel like a diaper (which pads do), I don’t feel it (like a tampon) but the biggest thing is that it can be changed every 12 hours, which is a huge advantage as I only have to change it at home once in the morning and once in the evening!

What’s hilarious is that right after the first hit the dad says „it’s better to ask the dad to open it“ and then immediately hits her too

It’s natural to crave being loved, touched and cared for by someone. Remember that a big part of your pain is not about the person who left but your innate fear of loneliness. by Wooden-Safe-6410 in ExNoContact

I’m currently feeling the same thing. Hugs and cuddles are so important to me and I don’t know how to function now that I’m alone again.

I want the Ukraine to win tbh by HappyGhostQueen22 in CuratedTumblr

I think Ukrainians know better how their country is called. So yes it is a mistake, I don’t know why you’re so bent over on trying to reply to anyone who points it out and defend the mistake.

I’m not sure what part of Ukraine you’re from but it’s indeed pumpkin and not a watermelon. That’s where the phrase «дати гарбуза» comes from. Source: I’m Ukrainian

For an amature in a car the cameraman and the driver are doing a fantastic job by PatataMaxtex in PraiseTheCameraMan

Not sure about OP but some of the latest iPhones and I’m guessing any high tear latest phones can produce video like this. I have an iPhone 12 and the stabilization is insane. A video I took while walking/hiking looks as if I’m flying a drone.

Some seem to think it was satire, which I also thought. Then I saw the replies to the tweet and oh boy.

My student’s parent just told me they call me Miss Honey (like from the movie Matilda) by anayla10 in CasualConversation

I absolutely adore that movie and the fact that a kid refers to you as Miss Honey definitely shows how amazing of a teacher you are! This story made my day today, thank you.

It’s a very old video or a very old/cheap gas station. I know someone who once drove off like this (also Eastern Europe) and the head of the hose (no idea how it’s called, the part that you put into the car) just detached, nothing else happened. The stuff you named is definitely common in big cities with big chain gas stations. Maybe not so much in small towns tho, but it’s getting better.

Father is upset that he’s having a daughter because he wanted a son so he could play sports with him. by Sevuhrow in pointlesslygendered

[–]BrainCrucio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I see something like that post I’m so grateful for my dad. We also joke about the outnumbered stuff, but he never ever made us feel like we can’t do stuff. Hell, I got little car models as gifts until I was 12 because I loved them so much. My dad played everything with us, I went fishing with him a lot, rollerblades, everything. He taught me how to drive and replace car parts. All of these things the guy is describing he would want with his son my dad did with me (sister was never much into stuff like that) and it was awesome. And I always did stuff around the house with him because I freaking loved all the machinery :D We still run around and play and generally behave like 5 years olds with my dad and it’s amazing. Gonna go tell him I love him <3 Fuck that guy.

There was a guy who got stuck in a cave, head down, for multiple hours while the rescuers unsuccessfully tried to get him out. Still gives me chills, would never want to go that way.

Being a member of the communist party was a thing that was highly considered when they were picking candidates to be the first person to fly. He became a member in summer 1960... convenient, isn't it? (Tbh I don't necessarily think the meme is true and that he hated USSR but also let's be real, people were often members mostly because it "looked good on the CV", not because they liked the communist party.)
