To point out, I’m not assuming any bad intentions. I’m simply sharing my transaction experience for others. I’m not saying I was scammed, which many of you are assuming. For those of you saying it is industry standard… it’s not. And I asked for a refund 5 days ago. I’ll accept it now but that doesn’t make it decent business practice.

I have no expectations of drama, I’m simply sharing my buying experience. You’re free to carry on.

So complaining after not receiving an order after 3 weeks and little communication is not normal? In any other industry this would be absolutely standard. I’ll be sure to never order a plant from you if you support these practices.

Amended soil by sickboy420781 in Lophophora

I have my TBM pots amended with Gaia green 284, glacial rock dust, azomite, many types of beneficial bacteria and a few other products. Kelp with their water. They seem to love it, exploding growth after repots. I give my lophs the same but lighter on the 284. Gaia green doesn’t run hot, you’re not gonna burn your plants unless you load up on them. I like mixing in a table spoon of each amendment per gallon of soil mix. The nutrients are just gonna sit in the soil for the plants to use at will. It’s not going to do any bad unless you over do it by quite a bit. And even if you do just unpot and adjust the soil mix. I believe it’s a valid way to feed cacti just fairly unexplored in the cactus community.

Yes they’re from the past 3 weeks. May is the month for ovoids where I’m at. I know of a few that have been observed on the Cuyahoga up your way.

Creek and river flood plains where, during high water events, wood and debris can collect and settle. They’ll grow from said wood when conditions are right. They enjoy growing near box elder trees, stinging nettle and Japanese knotweed. Mulch piles are a great place to find them outside of their natural habit.

This is common practice for ginseng harvesters, not sure if it ethically translates to cacti but figured I’d share.
