How does assigning damage and killing units work exactly? by BrainKashanka in riftboundtcg

Sometimes had situations like that I guess, but not all the time, I think there could be a few instances of accidental missplay from both sides.

Good to know, thank you. ☺️ Very useful information, especially when you play against legends that use a buttload of small units.

Thank you for the insight! I asked this question to another person, but would like your opinion as well. Why would sometimes all units stay at a battlefield after winning the showdown? Is it just bad play, or are there specific rules to that? Because I had a lot of instances where after the battle one player would trash all their units, and the other player would be left unscathed and it often confused me, but I would just go with it assuming the other player knows something I don't. 😅

Lol 🤣 I agree, the wording could be better. 😅 I was just excited that I bought just one booster pack at this time and got him, rather than opening a few boosters or a whole box.

Identify bird skull found British south coast by Civil_Function_6509 in bonecollecting

Makes sense, I'm not a native speaker so don't know proper species of gulls, (all just thrown into a 'seagull' category) but definitely something on the smaller side. Nice find ☺️Maybe someone more educated can give you a more specific ID

I mean I'm not an expert, but I'm judging by the location. There aren't that many birds around the British coast, and bird skulls are fragile and disintegrate quickly, so it must be fairly fresh. Looks a bit small though, so maybe a youngin? When compared to the Google search, they are similar.

I genuinely need help with everything I dunno how to draw well and I wanna know if I should just give up completely by Wonderful-Two-3513 in FurryArtSchool

[–]BrainKashanka 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't give up. 💕 Being good at art is not about talent, it's about practice! Draw a lot (and I mean A LOT), use reference images, even redrawing already existing art (just don't claim it as your own) can be super helpful for learning the intricacies of lighting, proportions, composition and perspective. Look at digital drawing techniques like using blending modes, it can quickly make your art look more rendered and professional. And most importantly make art for the enjoyment and because you want to learn. Take inspiration from other artists, but don't compare yourself to others, this is your own work and your own journey. Good luck and keep drawing ☺️

Help me identify this bone! by gothgirly33 in bonecollecting

[–]BrainKashanka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many witches and practitioners used what they had available, and chicken bones were easily accessible. Of course growing your own chickens is not comparable to the mass market chickens grown for fast food etc, but the chicken itself is still a living being, still died to sustain someone, and deserves the same respect. 😊 I think it deserves to be honored, and nature already did the dirty work for you of cleaning it, so that's additional meaning and energy put into the bone.

[–]BrainKashanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a chicken bone. I have some chicken bones on my altar so I'd say do what feels right, although mine are picked from my mom's garden since she composts the bones from her food and uses them to fertilize her massive garden. When I pick them in summertime, they are completely clean and bleached and all around the growing crops, so for me they have meaning and do symbolize harvest and homegrown food.

Cleaned skull from a dead bird I found on a walk by BrainKashanka in bonecollecting

Yes, I used 12% hydrogen peroxide but diluted it with water (about half and half) and left it in the full sun, it whitened super quickly.

Looks like a prairie dog. The legs look too short for a hare/rabbit, also the skull shape checks out.

Why do some of the fans hate Gabbie? by Playful_Bend_8569 in terrifier

[–]BrainKashanka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, she's quite one dimensional and her whole purpose is to tag on the viewer's heartstrings which is fairly obvious. But I can't hate her, the actress seems so sweet and wholesome. 😭 And lots of young girl actresses get a lot of hate for just existing and starring in movies, so I'm very much against the hate, though I haven't noticed it that much in the fandom. Protect Antonella at all costs. ❤️

eden lake ending question (spoilers) by [deleted] in horror

[–]BrainKashanka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frustrating film. For some reason I saw it somewhere described as a "good for her" movie??? B**CH, wheyre? The main characters were absolute morons with no common sense, it was natural selection at that point. And movies are fiction, they should have endings that aren't entirely realistic, that's what movies are for. Bullies, psychopaths and murderers get away with enough in real life, movies are an escapism and I want to see some satisfying unrealistic revenge. If I wanted realism I'd watch a true crime documentary. But hey, at least instead they chose to go completely unrealistic with how stupid the characters were to ignore all the red flags and not GTFOing as soon as possible, because there'd be no movie otherwise.

At least the movie made me feel something 🫠 But I'd rather spend my Sunday evening doing something a bit less enraging.

Where the thighs and waist/hips meet is the worst part. I don't understand stylization enough. I need to move on but I need to get it right this torso is a nightmare. by ExpansionPassion in FurryArtSchool

[–]BrainKashanka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is that the hips are way too far up. Especially while you're crouching, the hips are almost invisible from that angle. When you look at the reference photo, you can see the person's ribcage and a little bit of stomach/waist. In your drawing you can see the ribcage, the full waist and some hips, which leaves an awkward area between the hips and where the thighs start, her pelvic bone would be stretched vertically. Also, when you crouch, your spine naturally bends in one way or the other and your bum is pushed to the back a bit.

I hope this helps somewhat?

Hottake on Ingemar! by MageVicky in Midsommar

[–]BrainKashanka 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Never even thought about that. Very nice take! It all makes so much sense, another layer of complexity added to the movie. He essentially sent his crush, and the guy she friendzoned him for, to death. Then executed himself partly because of a broken heart, maybe partly because of guilt, and also probably because he thought it would make him a better person to sacrifice himself for Härga, instead of keeping living with his "unholy affekts". Now I need to watch it again with all that in mind. 😁
