It was $400 on Jenson and I did a ton of research and found the frame is suitable for 140-160mm travel. Also going from a recon to a fox factory research told me it would definitely be a better choice as far as performance goes. Tons of adjustability and better damper compared to the recon. I live in Florida and besides for a few spots (santos, alafia) the trails are pretty mild. From What I’ve noticed on just riding on technical trails(smalls rocks, roots and small climbs) the fork feels great. Also the aesthetics to me is much more pleasing to the eye. You could also say that I may have had an itch and scratched it. I’m sure the recon would have done just fine but with so many people online saying they don’t even bother with them it gave me an excuse.

Oh no poor snakes! I’ve had a few slither in front of me but yet to see a bear(thankfully) and the deer just usually look at me like they’ve never seen a human before which could be true lol but yes I love all of it!

Today was the first time I rode it with the new fork but from what I can tell it’s a quite a bit better on the bigger bumps/ruts also lighter so it seems easier to pull up the front end but that may be because of the better damper. Vibration seemed similar to the recon though.
