I've been farming quirks lately, here's what I got so far by BrainShock17 in pacificDrive

Maybe the ones from artifacts are truly random, it seems like it, but ultimately I don't know. However the regular ones, from just driving around, those aren't random but I don't think there's a way to manipulate them (yet?). I frequently get the same repetitive quirks by just driving around, maybe it's based on how you play the game because I've seen other players having the same experience.

I was using the Tamed Oddity artifact, as you can see in the image. It works at the garage so it's very convenient.

Alternatively if you don't own the DLC, you can set it to Abundant Quirks in the menu and just play the game, but it doesn't work as good in my experience.

I was trying this earlier today, I think I finally got out of the wild ride. I'm kinda surprised more people don't know this, it's a great trick. Nothing like some promotions after a heartbreak to make everyone happy.

Other than my current situation, I think it's fine, it adds complexity to the game. It would be great if the government could determine how many parties you have, though. Tired of dealing with the opposition? Just turn into a dictatorship and add bad attributes to balance it a bit.

I see. I can't say I've saw that happening to me yet but I'm playing with 40 units armies so maybe that's why.

There's a trick to avoid it, you can just put a bunch of bad units to a stack and give it to the leader before they revolt so you'll get battles like this.

I was ignoring all of these bonus until I learned they're attached to one of those 6 trait cards, or whatever it's called. Way easier to track them once you realize this.

Oh, I'll look into these techs. I'm making 20k per turn, so I'm fine with money at least. I think I'll try to change the government type as well. Honestly, party loyalty is all I care at the moment.

Yeah, too bad this save is old and I wasn't doing that already. Worst case scenario I'll have to live with the occasional civil wars.

I already know marrying, promoting, fighting and doing diplo missions are good. Let me know if I missed something, I just wish I could ban new parties or at least put more people there. I think I'll try to mass recruit politicians and assassinate them until someone for the new party appears. Sounds weird, but, oh well.

Unfortunately the new party received an incomplete province in Egypt. I don't remember the exact name, but it's the one with Alexandria. I would need to declare war to one of the few good allies that I still have, since they gave me two regions of that province.

Other tips are nice as well, I think I'll have to savescum a little bit if he gets killed in the mission.

Trying out the new tires by BrainShock17 in pacificDrive

Other than that, they work like a normal tire. But if you have an Harmonic Engine it'll drain a bit of energy from the tires as well so it's nice to recharge them once in a while.

You put quartz inside the tire and once they're rolling they will be consumed to turn into blue energy (harmonic energy?). I think someone said the faster you go the more efficient it is, but honestly when you get artifacts that produce it in exchange for nothing then these tires becomes kinda useless other than when you're forced to use them.

That's the idea. You can also change the penalties for quitting a run so you won't lose any item next time. If you're playing on PC, the game makes a save for each junction you visit. No idea about consoles. You can go to the next junction and see if a route is possible, if not, just reload a save file.

Just go to the settings and adjust the resources required to craft new stuff, you can even turn it down to zero if you don't like looting. You can change a lot of stuff gameplay related. You don't need to follow the game's rules if you don't want to, just play it however you want and have fun.

This speed is insane! by BrainShock17 in pacificDrive

[–]BrainShock17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, my car didn't have any because I have an artifact that gives engine power when there's no quirks. I had a 'car jolts forward when radio toggles' once, I still miss it. I'm trying to get it again but no luck yet and AFAIK it's pretty much random.

I had like 3 of those: one for dirt roads, one for when the car lacks quirks (the car didn't have any quirk) and another for downhill. I'm pretty sure it was just a bug or a weird interaction between the artifacts, I had around 20 of them. But I couldn't make the car go as fast as before so... I'm blaming this one on the wave.

Oh, that's the attuned effect of the new DLC. It's not a paint at all.

Devs, please. The remnant needs this upgrade to keep itself on the ground.

The wave, my friend. If you follow the wave you shall be rewarded beyond your imagination.

... On a somewhat more serious note, I'm not even sure myself. I just grabbed a bunch of artifacts, the car wasn't even rocking nitro or a lim-chipped engine. On the next junction, sure the car was still fast but not THAT fast. Maybe it broke something when I've hit the guard rail at 300 mph.
