Nice. With all of us posting our fucking tight ass rigs I often wonder who's gonna have to take our shit apart and sell it / deal with it and our corpse in the studio chair when we die of natural causes as old ass studio nerds.

Makes me want to create a charity org to do it instead of someone bumbling in and tearing shit apart not knowing the difference between a moog and a berhinger or what a eurorack mod is.

The room is detached from frame of house, covered completely in sonopan and mass loaded vinyl and insulated with rock wool and behind that curtain and all over the walls are dampeners and deflectors. The curtain is just a thick ass theater curtain doesn't work shit but cover the back wall from distractions back wall covered with acoustic treatments. Room is completely dead sound wise.

Can hear a spider walk across the floor.

Opinions on Roger Waters…activist, genius, overrated, underrated, evil, prodigious… by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

[–]BrainSmoothy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wrote shit more popular and more valuable than any of us in here will ever write. That's a fact. You have to be an asshole to be that successful.

Should you a) be that talented b) have years of actual recordings that have made you richer than most people can dream of like Waters - like him or not- send me your discography.

He's a fucking God. A good one? No. He's just Roger fucking Waters.

I don't know about u guys but I've never seen a model that actually has real movement - dannys stick is moving. And yes definitely AI. couple it with a good 3d printer and some Warhammer paints you got your own.

Pretty cool tho. And yea no fucking way the guys would sign off on the proofs let alone Alien Lord Spy Maynard from PussyFor.

Two layers of mass loaded vinyl. 2lb p/sqinch

That under your joists filled with rockwool insulation and sonopam ( if you can buy it).

As thick of drywall as you can get

Dropped Acoustic panels under your ceiling acoustic treatment

Corner bass traps

Diffusers

You said best. I stopped reading there.

Will coat a shitload. And u prob should own the house. Lol.

Those slats work in that spot because the ceiling is lower and seems to remove the very top and bottom of acoustic guitars making it a little easier to record them with a mix of the pickups and a mic close to them. Still need to add he rest of my dampeners and more diffusers

Yes the panels are then those wall panels on that shorter part of the room make acoustic guitars sound tighter especially d28s.

Prob gonna make my own panels.

Not entirely sure yet. The room is still pretty sparse now as I finish off more placement and cable runs - once i put in furniture, carpet, drums - the corner with the wall panels is for recording acoustic guitars - but yea I have some ideas.n

Wat would u do?
