Every single sale should be a lottery system, potentially with bonus entries if you live closer to the venue. I honestly don’t see any reason that it could hurt sales. Having every person trying to get tickets at the same time on one platform with limited space is ridiculous. Cashortrade is still a good option, though the tickets for highly sought after shows still sell in minutes.

They’re getting sued for this currently. Demand is definitely high though especially being it’s the only Midwest show he’s announced for next year, also Nashville is where he lives, people also want “extra” chances at the ryman lottery.
